With all the travel we do, we have gathered many reviews of bars, pubs, restaurants, taverns and more. We are the quiet people watching, eavesdropping and we pay attention to every thing! Key West is like Vegas without the gambling and desert — sunshine, cocktails, characters, and just enough chaos to let you forget who you’re supposed to be for a while. We mostly behaved… and somehow made it home with most of our dignity intact.

There was no travel in this episode as were in lock down. During the summer, we were alone, naked and drinking in the backyard. 

After months of just us, we were Looking forward to be able to out again, but not the part of wearing pants again. We sit outside, having a few beers talking out leaving the house again. we also talk about donkey balls and shooting the dog ball. Basically this episode is about balls, and maybe some other stuff.

In Episode 5 of On the Bar Fly, we share what might be the most important travel tip of all — during a pandemic or any global disaster:

Don’t travel.

This episode covers our journey home from overseas as the world began shutting down. The trip to Bangkok, Thailand and Sydney, Australia had been planned for months and was part of our yearly travel routine — and once the pandemic unfolded, everything changed fast.

We talk about the uncertainty, the constantly changing plans, and the nail-biting process of figuring out how to get home before borders closed and lockdowns began. Flights changed, routes shifted, and stress levels climbed — but we made it back just in time.

You’d think that would be the end of the adventure… but it wasn’t.

Lockdowns, quarantine, and even our vehicle being stuck in another country for weeks — racking up parking fees — became part of the story.

This episode is part travel tale, part cautionary reminder, and part real-time history of what it felt like to move through the world as it shut down.

In Episode 4 of On the Bar Fly, we share a collection of thoughts and stories that probably should’ve stayed inside our heads — but didn’t.

We admit that sometimes we have good ideas… and confidently confirm that none of them made it into this episode.

These stories are funny, stupid, and possibly a complete waste of time — yet here we are, putting them on the podcast anyway. Topics include knowing exactly what to do with frozen dog poo, questioning why bathrooms need instructional posters, debating the mankini (who is wearing it and why), and a surprise cameo from Harley, the jerky bird.

This episode proves two things:

1. We should not be left unsupervised.

2. If supervision is required, they might as well join in on the fun.

In Episode 3 of On the Bar Fly, we revisit an adventure that somehow keeps happening — ending up at a sex museum.

What started in New York City’s Museum of Sex (yes, that one — complete with the infamous dress and the sex bike) later resurfaced in Las Vegas, where beers, questionable decisions, a strip club, and the Penis Puppetry show all collided into one unforgettable night.

We talk about how we found ourselves in these places (again), the wild spots we stumbled into along the way, and how travel has a way of taking you exactly where you didn’t plan to go.

Along the way, we learned more than we expected, laughed harder than we should have, and once again proved that what happens On the Bar Fly doesn’t always stay in Vegas.

In Episode 2 of On the Bar Fly, we introduce you to one of our most frequent travel companions — Drunk Sock Monkey Stan.

This episode proves two things:

1. Traveling with a sock monkey is a terrible idea.

2. We travel, drink, and eat much better than we actually explain it.

Stan came into our lives courtesy of my daughter, who gave him to me so I wouldn’t be lonely while traveling. Fast forward ten years later, and Stan has become a regular fixture in our adventures — a surprisingly famous sock monkey in our small worldly bubble.

We talk about what it’s like traveling with Stan, how little supervision is involved, and why editing episodes clearly isn’t our strong suit.

Along the way, we also tell the story of the time I chased an anti-fracking clown down the streets of Sydney, Australia — yes, he was on a unicycle, and yes, I had to be quick.

This episode is messy, ridiculous, and a perfect example of why On the Bar Fly never quite goes as planned.

On this episode of Travel On The Bar Fly we did not have to travel far to get these funny stories together. To our surprise there was more than on story abut eating road kill or meat on the road. When we go out to a bar or we travel, we listen to the people around us. 

For our first episode of the podcast we bring to you the unbelievable and funny stories about meat on the street.

Not just one story about people who love meat so much, they are willing to eat it off the road. 

In Episode 1 of Travel On the Bar Fly, we didn’t have to travel far to find our first batch of unbelievable stories — we just had to listen.

When we’re out at a bar or on the road, we pay attention to the conversations happening around us. And to our surprise, one theme kept coming up more than once:

People eating meat they found on the road.

Yes. Really.

For our very first episode, we share the funny, shocking, and slightly disturbing stories we’ve heard about meat on the street. Not just one story — several — proving that this is apparently more common than anyone wants to admit.

Stories include:

• Watching a man stop his truck, run back, and toss a dead turkey from the road into the bed of his pickup

• Overhearing a conversation in a ladies’ room about a mysterious bag of meat left in a parking lot… and debating whether to take it

• A family member who hit a turkey with their car — and then ate it
