Live from Frankfurter Buchmesse 2025
On The Books is the witty, caffeine-fueled morning show for the global publishing community — presented by Publishing Perspectives & Remote Daily.
Broadcasting live from Frankfurter Buchmesse 2025, hosts Erin Cox and Felix Zeltner deliver sharp insights, breaking news, and host irresistible guests inside publishing’s busiest halls. Expect the kind of conversations you only overhear in line for coffee at Frankfurt.
In our inaugural show, On The Books welcomes:
- Lawrence Schimel, a full-time author, writing in both Spanish and English, based in Madrid, Spain, who has published over 130 books in a wide range of genres. His picture books have won numerous awards and have been translated into over sixty languages, including Welsh, Scots, Icelandic, Maltese, Farsi, Kurdish, Basque, Luxembourgish, Changana, Romansch, and Xhosa. In addition to his own writing, he is a prolific literary translator, primarily into English and into Spanish, who has published over 200 books.
- Prashant Pathak, the Head of Publishing for English Books at Giunti Editore, headquartered in Florence. In his previous role, he was the Publisher at Wonder House Books, an award-winning children’s imprint. He’s also co-founder of Publishers Without Borders, a beloved global publishing community with over 10.000 members.
Together with Lawrence and Prashant, the hosts recap the #fbm25 opening day, share favorite events, and take a dive into the future of publishing in times of book bans and AI.
