Hey all! Gav + I kicked around a Syria episode for a while. We’d planned to do one on Syria this week, but the events of the last 12? 24? 48? hours the Middle East have sent the country and the entire region heading down a path much quicker than anyone expected or imagined. (even though the signs were there).

We did our best to give you BACKGROUND so you can have a much greater understanding of this incredibly complex country and region that the media is not going to do. Gav goes very deep into important aspects of Syrian history, the al-Asaad family, and a few of the geopolitical ramifications this crisis will have on your life—whether you’re in Minsk, Mumbai, or Missoula.
