We speak with Rainer Bauböck about how the concept of citizenship has changed over time. Rainer Bauböck was Professor of Social and Political Theory at the European University Institute in Florence and Co-director of the European Union Democracy Observatory on Citizenship. He is currently a part-time professor at the Schuman Centre of the EUI and chair of a commission on migration research at the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
