On The Hub Grass

The Walt Disney Company has revealed new information regarding the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. The most notable announcement in the new fireworks spectacular at Magic Kingdom, Disney Enchantment. Additional entertainment was announced with Animal Kingdom's KiteTales and Epcot's Harmonious. Beyond entertainment, Mickey and Friends will be donning new EARidescent costumes and all 4 parks will welcome golden character statues, 50 in total.

Two of the most legendary modern Imagineers are Joe Rohde and Tony Baxter. On our show today, we debate the merits of Mr. Animal Kingdom vs. Mr. Disneyland Paris. Both creative men have created classic rides and experiences including: Pandora, Expedition Everest, Big Thunder Mountain, and Splash Mountain, to name a few.   Also, we review the newest Pixar film, Luca!

On this episode of On The Hub Grass, we play a variation of the schoolyard game "Kiss, Marry, Kill." But our version is "Keep, Revamp, Level" based on our opinions of Walt Disney World attractions. Both Matt and Mason stump each other with some tough match-ups like Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and Spaceship Earth, Tower of Terror, Expedition Everest.   In addition to our game, we announce the On The Hub Grass Patreon, link below, and our first giveaway!  On The Hub Grass Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/onthehubgrass  Featured Creator: https://themeparkpreservationsociety.org/

Disneyland’s newest land, Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure opened June 6th, we do a complete discussion of the entire new land. We review our favorite and not so favorite aspects of the land including the Dora Milaje, to Doctor Strange’s Ancient Sanctum, Spider-Man flying high above WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, and even Ironman's suit (Mark PartyCity). We also  preview some of the food at The Shawarma Palace, Terran Treats, Pym Test Kitchen, and Pym Tasting Lab.   In the end, we enjoy what WDI delivered, but WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure is a failure of theme park creativity.   Featured Creator: https://www.etsy.com/shop/MareBearPress
