The NHL Trade Deadline for the 2023/2024 regular season is the last stop on the road to the playoffs and today we’ll break down some of the trades on the show plus I'll give some of my thoughts on this years Spring Training as we approach the beginning of yet another sure to epic 162 game season in the 2024 Major League Baseball season.
A little later we'll talk about the women's hockey league as they prepare for their first ever season playoff race of their own.

The season series against Boston is even at one game a piece and we’ve got more games to play before the final game between the Penguins and the Bruins this season and why not start it with the finale of the season series against the Edmonton Oilers and Connor McDavid?
Last time the Penguins played the Oilers they fought hard but they could only score one goal as the Oilers cruised over to a (EDM 6-1 PIT) victory over the Penguins just last Sunday when they were coming off a (EDM 2-1 SEA) victory over the Seattle Kraken on the Saturday before then in Seattle.
The Penguins have been in a lot of trouble since then after defeating the Columbus Blue Jackets in Pittsburgh by a final score of (PIT 5-3 CBJ) just last Tuesday night and they come into this game struggling to string together wins as they prepare to get even with the Oilers and Connor McDavid when they play in Pittsburgh on Sunday afternoon after dropping their 2nd straight game to the Boston Bruins and allowing the Bruins to get even with them on Saturday in Boston where they could only score at least one goal and avoid getting shutout on the road but all the same they still lost to Boston by a final score of (BOS 5-1 PIT)
Will the Penguins get right and get even with the Oilers?

The Pittsburgh Penguins are hoping to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win in the season series against the Boston Bruins after being shut out on Home Ice against the Capitals by a score of (WSH 6-0 PIT)
The Boston Bruins meanwhile are looking to get even with the Penguins after falling to the Penguins in Boston in early January by a final score of (PIT 6-5 BOS) as they come into this game coming off a (BOS 4-1 TOR) victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on a Thursday night in Boston.

The Capitals and the Penguins have played two games out of their four meetings this season, and each of those games one of the teams came out victorious.

Elsewhere the Penguins face a team who is just coming off two wins both on Saturday and Monday with scores of (CBJ 5-2 CHI) on Saturday night and (VGK 3 CBJ 6) on Monday night how will both teams fair as the Trade Deadline approaches we'll all find out tonight

These two teams last played against each other last season in February and the Edmonton Oilers won that game by a final score of (EDM 7-2 PIT)
Now this season series is ready to go once again and for both teams it comes on the back half of a back-to-back where the Penguins are looking to get right and finish their road trip on a high note after falling to the Calgary Flames on Saturday night by a final score (CGY 4-3 PIT) in Calgary.
The Edmonton Oilers on the other hand come into this game fresh off a (EDM 2-1 SEA) victory over the Seattle Kraken in Seattle on Saturday afternoon.

The Penguins began their 4-game road trip with a bang after finishing off 4-game home stand on a high note on Sunday afternoon with a huge (PIT 7-6 PHI) victory over their cross state rivals in the Philadelphia Flyers and the followed that up with (PIT 4-3 VAN) victory in Vancouver on Tuesday night before being cooled down by the Seattle Kraken on Thursday night and getting shutout in the process by a final score of (SEA 2-0 PIT).
Now after long time of not seeing the Calgary Flames the Penguins will travel to Calgary for a showdown in the Saddle Dome after beating the Flames by a final score of (PIT 5-2 CGY) and you can bet the Calgary Flames are going to want get even with the Penguins.
The Penguins began their 4-game road trip with a bang after they finished off their 4-game home stand on a high note with a huge (PIT 7-6 PHI) win over their cross state rivals in the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday afternoon and they would continue to win games as they went into Vancouver and came out with a big (PIT 4-3 VAN) win over the Canucks on Tuesday night and they look to turn a 3-game winning streak and make it 4 in row when they face the Kraken on Thursday night in Seattle.
