On the Ice with Bernice

Join me as I chat with Paige Scott about her journey on the ice.

Paige has been in the skating world since she was 18 months old and is currently a powerhouse in the Theatre on Ice world, but did you know that she's been in many different parts of the skating world? Show skating, coaching, synchro, Theatre on Ice, USFS, ISI, managing a rink–there's not much she's not done. Listen to this episode to hear her story!

Join me as I chat with Adam Blake about his journey on the ice.

You might think that you can only be in one area of the skating world. However,  Adam Blake definitely proves that thought wrong, being in show skating, Theatre on Ice, Showcase, synchro, singles, pairs, and more.  It seems like Adam has done about everything himself from show skating, to on-ice unicycle coaching, to joining a Panamanian dance crew.

Join me as I chat with Sarah Neal about her journey in the skating world–both in the USA and Spain and the importance of yoga for skaters.

We are also going to have an honest conversation about body image, eating disorders, and more.

Sarah Neal is a figure skating coach in Louisville, Kentucky, a Spanish professor, and a yoga instructor.  Her own struggles in skating have given her a passion for helping skaters build healthier relationships with themselves to feel more comfortable in their own skin.

Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your story with us.

Join me as I chat with Elizabeth Misson about the American Ice Theatre, how ice skating is a lifelong sport with lifelong lessons, and how it's okay to let skating be your hobby and not your full-time job.

Elizabeth Misson is the current director of the Cleveland branch of the American Ice Theatre (AIT). She was introduced to AIT by doing their Master Choreography Techniques curriculum after being at a crossroads in trying to find her place in the skating world. In addition, she works in the Philanthropy Institute at the Cleveland Clinic and is a mother.  She has made it her mission to keep skating as her hobby and finds joy in being on the ice.
