Cory and Bryan chat with Bullis School (MD) head track and field coach Joe Lee, whose team scored five national championships across his boys and girls programs at New Balance Nationals Outdoor in June. Across the calendar year, Lee's squad has racked up fast times, personal bests, national records and national titles. Cory chats with Greencastle-Antrim's (PA) Taryn Parks, the country's top high school miler and one of the top recruits in the Class of 2020. Parks is headed to the Brooks PR Invitational with hopes of winning her second big national championship following an incredible win at New Balance Nationals Indoor over the winter season. Cory chats with Zachary High School's (LA) Sean Burrell, the fastest junior 400 meter runner in the country and one of the top recruits in the Class of 2020--though not just in track and field. After rehabilitating from a hamstring injury, Burrell won two Louisiana state titles in the 200m (20.79) and 400m (46.52) and helped his squad to a runner-up finish in the 4x100. On MileSplit LIVE the guys chatted with Harvard Westlake (CA) senior Brayden Borquez, a University of Southern California signee who has been off to a torrid start this spring. He's US No. 3 in the 400m and US No. 11 in the 300mH. 

On this episode of On The Line with MileSplit, we chat with St. Edward's University's Ryan Ponsonby, who was hired as the Hilltoppers' head coach in March of 2018 and will lead entirely new men's and women's Division II track and field teams in 2020. The university is jumpstarting the men's program, which last had a team in 1970, while the women's squad will begin for the first time in school history. Ponsonby is a graduate of the University of Texas, where he was a 4-minute miler, and was a six-year coach at Nike, where he led Leo Manzano to a silver medal in the 1,500 meter run at the 2012 London Olympics.
