  • What Do You Do With Your (childhood) Grief?

No one is exempt from experiencing grief. So many of us have been holding on to a kind of unexplored grief from childhood that, unbeknownst to us, impacts our lives in big and little ways. Have we given this time and attention? Have we held the grief of our childhood with love and curiosity so that healing and freedom might result, or have we pushed it away, banishing it as something that either should not exist or that we just can't face? What is it that we do with our grief? Maybe now is the time to pause and turn toward it. It may feel hard and that's okay. Hard things can be done. Let's talk about it.

Thank you for your presence here with me.

    A deep bow,

    ~Kissiah

I'd love to hear from you!

  • Are You Looking For Your Person? Have You Found Her, Him, Them?

I have learned a lot over the years when it comes to love, romance, and relationships. Trust me when I say, I have had my fair share, yet it hasn't been until now that I feel like I have not only cracked the code, but am partnered with someone who has joined me in the cracking of the code. After years of trial and error, there are two ingredients that I have found to be essential and will help weed out the nos and lead us to the yes of our person. Join me tonight as we talk about it.

    I appreciate you.

    Deep bow,

    ~Kissiah

  • Sexuality Isn't Synonymous With Sexual Orientation

Have you ever really given thought to that, how our sexuality is not synonymous with our sexual orientation? There are so many layers to sexuality and often we do not spend time thinking about who we are inside of it. Perhaps it's been the taboo thing, something we haven't allowed ourselves to think about. I mean, if you're someone who has perhaps only had relationships or sex with one gender, how could you then choose to experience another? Is that even okay if you don't identify as gay or straight? Yes, it's okay, and guess what? You can. In fact, I encourage you to explore should you feel so inclined. Life is vast and wide, and we do not have to live inside a box that was modeled for us. We can access other ways of being. Let's talk about it.

As always, thank you for your presence.

    Gratefully,

    ~Kissiah

  • We Do Not Have to Live From Our Reserve: Accessing Overflow

We have been conditioned to go, go, go, and do, do, do even at our own expense. Many are operating on fumes trying to keep up with the many tasks, to-dos, roles, and responsibilities. This comes as no surprise considering productivity has been highlighted and underscored across most aspects of life.

    To what avail?

Burnout, stress, overwhelm, and just plain out feeling depressed over it all, seems the outcome for doing too much and operating from reserve. Well guess what? We don't have to operate from our reserve. There are ways to access our overflow.

Join me. Let's talk about it.

    Thank you for your presence.

  • The Ingredients of Death Resides Within Us

Have you ever sat and thought about the reality that we as sentient beings hold within ourselves the ingredients of both life and death? I've been sitting with the truth of this, contemplating how close death is to my every breath, and yours. It walks parallel to us through time and space, intersecting but once. Keep me company as I talk about it a bit. Explore here with me.

    I appreciate you.

  • Part Nine of The Nine Contemplations on Death: Our Bodies Cannot Help Us

We have arrived at the ninth and last of The Nine Contemplations on Death. It has been a rather reflective and contemplative series for me, and I appreciate having been able to share this time with you. Thank you.

Join me tonight as we explore our physical form and how our body will be unable to keep us from leaving this form. In fact, it, too, will be lost in the moment.

    Your presence is a gift.

    With gratitude,

    ~Kissiah

  • Part Eight of The Nine Contemplations: Our Loved Ones Cannot Save Us From Death

We meet again here as we contemplate number eight of the many layers found in The Nine Contemplations on the inevitability of death. When we think of the many people we love and who love us, we must also think about the nature of their absence, because we cannot save them from death. They cannot save us from death. Death is embedded within us, and is destined to birth.

Thank you for joining me. I appreciate you.

  • Part Seven of The Nine Contemplations On Death: Our Material Resources Are Of No Use

Many of us work hard to accumulate or access different material things in life. One doesn't have to lose themselves in consumerism to still manage to look around at the view of all we have. How tightly we hold onto these things speak to our attachment, which often directly impacts our suffering. Have you stopped to think about what you have, and how none of that will save you at the time of your death. Nor me. Nor those over there. Does this reality bring us to any insights, any deeper level of knowing about ourselves? Does it evoke change in any way?

Join me for part seven of The Nine Contemplations on the inevitability of death, which says that at the time of our death, our material resources are of no use.

Thank you for being here with me.

    Grateful,

    ~Kissiah

  • Don't Listen! Follow Your Path Instead

There are so many things that we unknowingly outsource, such as answers to questions where the answers rest within. Validation is so desired that we nearly abandon our own path for that of another, or someone else's thoughts and opinions about who or what we should be. May we be reminded that we hold many of the answers to our deepest questions; they rest within.

No two people walk the same path, and so, if you are being called to do something, become something, share something, create something, etc., go within and follow the way of your road. We cannot expect to walk uniquely on roads well traveled. Yet when we do, it is as if we are robbed of our inspiration, motivation, and creative expression. This is why we practice following our own  path, giving ourselves the wisdom of our inner understanding.

Join me in today's episode, Don't Listen, as we talk about it. Next week we will resume part seven of The Nine Contemplations series.

    A deep bow,

  • Part Six of The Nine Contemplations on Death: Our Bodies Are Fragile and Vulnerable

How often we take for granted our bodies and the ways they carry us. We do not necessarily focus on gratitude that they continue to withstand. I believe we need to. It's important. As strong as our bodies, is as fragile as our bodies, and the reality is, they won't last forever. Let's pause and contemplate this truth. Let's pause and give ourselves the attention we need as we practice loving our fate, which is the inevitability of death. Ours. Theirs. All.

    Thank you for your presence.

    I am grateful.
