In the fourth official episode of On the Periphery, I chat with my mother about the transition from being a young black woman herself to raising a young black woman in the present society. We discuss the similarities and differences between the environment she grew up in and the environment she raised her children in, as well as how her experiences informed her parenting.

In this bonus episode of On the Periphery, Elise and Maddie candidly discuss their thoughts on the 2020 election considering the role identity plays in politics, their understanding of the events that led up to this pivotal moment in history, as well as the unprecedented circumstance America finds itself in today.
