We're debuting a new part of the On The Record podcast called Inside Takes. These will be much shorter episodes where Devin shares his thoughts/advices/takes on certain experiences that he's had in sports, news and journalism.

In this episode, Devin shares his takeaways after attending San Diego Wave FC's inaugural home match against the Portland Thorns. From the environment, to the amount of talent present in the NWSL today, to culture-building.

It's March! Devin Whatley is joined by Vegas Sports Today Writer Breven Honda and ASU journalism student Kyle Betz to preview and discuss the conference tournaments going on in college basketball. We preview the Mountain West Conference Tournament, and the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas. The group also talk about their recent developments in their journalism careers, and what they've learned about the profession and themselves in their new occupations.

The two discuss their experiences working in a full-time journalism job right out of college, and also share their favorite moments from their jobs. Luis also adds perspective on what it's like to MMJ in a smaller market, and goes behind the scenes into what his daily job looks like and his storytelling approach. Devin and Luis also discuss the upcoming NFL Championship Games, and preview Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
