Thanks for tuning in. My hope for this poem and episode is that it might help others navigate how to handle and pray for some of the heaviness we experience in the world, in particular the current pain of the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
You can find the video of this poem on my instagram, find me @larissa_matson

*I haven't listened to other episodes of this podcast, so I have no idea what the host believes or puts forward on his platform. It looks like he engages with a wide variety of guests but I just wanted to caveat that all I'm currently vouching for and informed on is this episode.
During Newday, a Christian youth festival here in the UK - that has been online for the past two summers now! - Larissa got the privilege of sharing some scripture on an insta live prayer meeting. Unfortunately - it got deleted! So here it is - for the world to experience! This is especially for you if you are new to Christianity, and especially if you might have become a Christian at Newday!
In this episode, Larissa diverges from talking about herself (don't be too sad) and gets into the meaty subject of Hypocrisy: everyone's favourite topic! Following a trail to pride, then humility and grace, it may be a kind of unpleasant topic but it ends in a good place, so check it out!
*at one point she says a verse is from Thessalonians and it's not, its Corinthians. Please don't come at me, bible scholars.
After a long and eventful break, Larissa is back! In this episode she will tell the story of all that has happened in the past couple months, and fill us in on plan for the future.
Welcome to another Testimony Tuesday!
Has anyone ever experienced a stressful situation at university? How about with your dissertation - arguably the most important piece of academic work you will ever do!?
This week we hear from Larissa's friend, Pete, about a plot twist in his dissertation plans, and how they ended up even better than he originally could have anticipated! Any fans of stars and space will probably enjoy this episode.
Pete hosts his own podcast alongside his friend, Mitch, called Building on the rock. Be sure to check them out on spotify as well!
I hope you enjoy the episode and as always:
Remember who you are
In this episode you finally get around to meeting Larissa's third housemate: Suzi Hosier! (find her on le insta @suzihosier)
Its a laid back, lighthearted episode this week, answering those queries we know you've been having all about relationship statuses, dateability, and the real humdinger: what Christmas snack are the girls?
We big up Emmanuel Church Brighton, Totalfit Brighton, Crosstown Donuts (sponsor me), and Annie Waller 🥳 in this fun filled 40 minutes, so check it out!
And as always:
Remember who you are
Remember whose you are
Happy Thanksgiving! What a perfect day to start this bonus segment: Thankfulness Thursdays.
This Thursday, Larissa is joined by the amazing Joel Nicholas today (via voice memo), as he shares with us his gratefulness for the Holy Spirit.
Joel is a Brighton based artist and overall deep and funny and good guy - you can track him down on the insta at @joelmichaelnicholas
He also has a class up on skillshare that will help you see life differently - so check that out! : skl.sh/3iUwBno
Remember who you are
Remember who's you are
In this Episode, Larissa addresses where on earth she has been! Rebel that she is, breaking the first rule of podcasts: consistency, she thought she'd break from the Getting To Know Me series and chat about life and it's various ups and downs in these... wait for it... uncertain times *cringe*.
Episode 3 - Another episode, another personality test! Join Larissa this week, and her guest Becca Bindang as they go through the 16personalities quiz, a version of the popular Meyers Briggs personality test. In another typical Larissa move - this has become a two parter! So listen in on part one of the Larissa/Becca banter!
