As a senior healthcare woman in business, Grace Ferri '09, member of the Alumni Board of Directors, drives the branding, advertising, fundraising, sales and marketing of United Hebrew of New Rochelle, Westchester County’s leading senior care provider. In her role as Chief Marketing Officer, she serves as an ambassador of the organization and has been instrumental in elevating its visibility and reputation in the community —critical to attracting the most talented staff and promoting United Hebrew as a great place to work, as well as promoting the campus as a place where families can entrust the care of their most valuable asset—their loved ones.
Grace began her career at United Hebrew in 2007 as Director of Development. She was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Development in2012 and was named Chief Marketing Officer in 2020.
Among the achievements over the course of her 15 year-career at United Hebrew:
Working closely with United Hebrew’s C-suite, Grace managed the promotion of the organization’s expanding services. During her tenure, United Hebrew opened Willow Gardens Memory Care, Westchester’s first free-standing dementia care facility. The new facility filled all 51 beds within 7months of opening.
During her tenure, Grace’s oversight of the fundraising program has resulted in a 40% net profit increase to support United Hebrew’s nonprofit mission of caring for its residents like family.
Her ability to forge trustworthy relationships extends to Westchester’s community of healthcare professionals. She works closely with geriatric care managers, eldercare consultants, and hospital physicians and discharge planners to help them understand the comprehensive services offered by United Hebrew, resulting in a strong referral network for the organization.
Grace serves as a spokesperson and resource for the community when it comes to understanding eldercare options: She is a sought-after guest on local airwaves, including LMCTV, Michael Amoruso’s “Eldercare on the Air,” and Anthony Enea’s “Talking Seniors” podcast.
Grace is involved in several community organizations and non-profit associations. She served as co-chair of the American Heart Association Go Red for Women Luncheon in 2018, spearheading with her sister, Terri Ferri, efforts to raise awareness and empower women to learn more about heart disease and take control of their health. She currently serves on the Go Red Executive Leadership Team.
Grace has also served on the board of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Development Officers as well as several other board committees including the Westchester Italian Cultural Center, the New Rochelle Police Foundation and Richmond Community Services.
She also served as the Executive Administrator for the Italian American Forum, a network of business and community leaders dedicated to preserving and promoting Italian heritage and helping individuals and families in need. In 2018, she was honored by the Italian Welfare League, an organization devoted to helping children of Italian American decent who are ill or have suffered emotional trauma.
Prior to joining United Hebrew, she served for 13 years at Calvary Hospital as director of annual giving and special events, overseeing fundraising, special events, and marketing. Throughout her 27+ year career in marketing and fundraising, Ferri has led campaigns resulting in over $50 million in contributions and is a previous recipient of the Association of Development Officers “Professional Fundraiser of the Year” award. Grace graduated summa cum laude from Iona College and holds a bachelor’s degree in health care administration. She resides with her husband in New Rochelle.
