Hey everyone, I’m Mike, she’s Sophie, and that’s Brenda, and we’re On the Road with Mickey! This is Season 2, Episode 39 for September 27, 2021, and our feature topic today is Your Favorite Deluxe Resort and Why. For today’s podcast we are concluding our three part look at our favorite resorts. Today we are looking at our favorite deluxe resort. As always, we want to hear from you. What are your favorites? Let us know in the comments! Now, here’s the rundown of what we talked about:
Updates from last week:We touched base on the Scat Cat’s Club, which features both a lounge and a cafe. We learned this regarding beignets: “You can also pick up French Quarter’s favourite signature tasty treat, fresh hot Beignets, and specialty coffees, in Scat Cat’s Club Café, open from 6am until midnight. If you order beignets with a meal from the food court (which is only a few steps away) this will be the new pickup location. Again, no changes to the offerings apart from three new toppings/drizzle glaze options (Cinnamon-Sugar, Raspberry, or Chocolate).”Cheddar from the Big CheeseSophie: Duffy has made a new friend! She’s a pink fox named Lina Bell and will make her debut in Shanghai Disneyland on September 29th! George is the President of Segment Development & Enrichment for Disney Parks Experiences and Products. He was honored with a Window on Main Street, U.S.A. George has had a hand in many things during his career, like the creation of Disney Pin Trading, and the memorable “Frozen Summer Fun” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. He led the resort during a period of remarkable growth and opened Pandora—The World of Avatar, Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge; experiences which have become staples of a Walt Disney World vacation. Here is what the window says: “Be Our Guest. The Main Street Chamber of Commerce Invites you to Live – Work – Play In our Welcoming Community, Main Street, USA. People, Partnerships, and Progress are the Keys to our World. George A. Kalogridis, Ambassador, Main Street” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cz6iD8M1p3cConnect with us! But it will not be the equivalent of Disneyland. We know the basic things that have family appeal. There are many ways that you can use those certain basic things and give them a new decor, a new treatment. This concept here will have to be something that is unique, so there is a distinction between Disneyland in California and whatever Disney does in Florida.” – Walt DisneyComing next week: Disney Attractions: Ride it…or Skip it!SponsorshipOn the Road with Mickey is sponsored by Pixie Vacations by Mike Ellis, Tech Solutions NC, and Brenda Plans. As always, thank you for listening.
