Jesus didn’t call spectators He called fishers.
In this episode of On the Road with Pastor Anthony, I’m joined by my longtime friend James Johnson from the You Tube channel Kingsmen Outfitters for a real, down‑to‑earth conversation about what it truly means to follow Jesus, not just believe in Him.
Using a simple fishing analogy, we talk about guidance, discipleship, and the responsibility we all have to help others take steps toward faith. Just like someone once showed us the way, Jesus calls us to intentionally walk with others as they learn, grow, and follow Him.

Mission Possible: Will You Accept It?

The tomb is empty and that means the mission has begun.

Are you living like you’re alive… or still among the dead?

For the last several weeks, we’ve been on a journey… a journey to the empty tomb.
In this Easter message, we walk through Gospel of Luke chapter 24 and discover the moment that changed everything—the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Today we continue our Journey to the Empty Tomb as we look at the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem in Matthew 21:1–11. What looked like a moment of celebration was also a moment of misunderstanding.

The crowd shouted “Hosanna!” as Jesus entered the city, but they didn’t fully understand who He was or what He came to do. They expected a king who would fix their situation… but Jesus came to save their souls.

And the same question they faced then is the same question we must answer today:

 How will you receive Jesus?

This message was preached live at First Baptist Church Danville WV, and whether you were in the room or are listening now, the call is the same.

In this message, we’ll explore:

•  Jesus as the fulfillment of prophecy

What is Jesus really worth to you?

In this episode of On the Road with Pastor Anthony, we continue our Journey to the Empty Tomb by looking at a powerful moment in John 12:1–11. In one room, we see four different responses to Jesus—each one revealing a heart condition that still exists today.

• Mary shows us what it looks like to give Jesus everything
• Judas Iscariot reminds us how easy it is to follow Jesus for the wrong reasons
• The religious leaders reject Him despite overwhelming evidence
• The crowd comes searching, curious to know more

The truth is we all fall into one of these categories.

So, the question becomes:
 Is Jesus worth it all… or is He a waste?

As we close, we also begin to look ahead to Matthew 21:1–11 and the celebration of Palm Sunday—when the crowds welcomed Jesus as King… but didn’t fully understand who He was.

Whatever He Says, Do It | John 2:1–11
What does real faith look like? Is it just believing the right things, or does it show up in how we live?
In this episode of On the Road with Pastor Anthony, we look at the powerful moment at the wedding in Cana where Mary tells the servants a simple but life-changing instruction: “Whatever He says to you, do it.” (John 2:5)
Before the miracle of turning water into wine, there was a step of obedience. The servants filled the jars exactly as Jesus instructed even though it didn’t seem to make sense. Their obedience set the stage for Jesus’ first recorded miracle and revealed His glory.

Who do you say that Jesus is?

In Matthew 16, Jesus asks His disciples a question that still echoes today: “Who do you say that I am?” The crowd had opinions. Culture had theories. But Jesus made it personal.

In this episode of On the Road with Pastor Anthony, we walk through Peter’s confession that Jesus is “the Messiah, the Son of the living God” — and why that identity changes everything. If Jesus is only a teacher, the cross is tragic. If He is only a prophet, the resurrection is confusing. But if He is the Christ, then His death was intentional, His sacrifice was sufficient, and His victory was eternal.

We’ll also talk honestly about cultural Christianity — honoring Jesus on Christmas and Easter while ignoring Him the rest of the year — and why Jesus’ words, “Why do you call Me Lord and do not do what I say?” still challenge us today.
