The U.S. is going through our Pluto return.
Death and rebirth themes Pluto is a planet of evolution and life force energy, continuing the process of life, for it to continue birth needs death; exploring shadows; a need to let go of anything that’s not working and birthing something new. Pluto is a slow moving planet so we will feel it subtly - Pluto will peak in 2022. Opportunity for a death and rebirth IF we face our shadow well. A call to action for activists, especially for white activists to face the real shadow of the USA; and the real darkness white people have had privilege to look away from and if we keep avoiding that we won’t be able to make it through the process here. A huge reckoning for this land and country whether you embrace America as it is, our souls chose this moment to be here, a big call.
On the other side of the shadow and darkness is the life force which is always coming through as we move consciously into the darkness. Allow it to move through then try to ignore or avoid the darkness which means you are also blocking the light.

He left high school early and worked in various industries, and over time began to use his art as part of his activism. This activism has included support work for the Black Panthers and Young Lords to participating in or acting in solidarity with farmers, environmental, labor, racial justice and peace movements. Increasingly he has come to see his art and organizing practices as means to address individual, collective and historical trauma.
He co-leads workshops on trauma and resilience for organizers as well as trainings on creative organizing, social justice strategy and sustainable activism, and mentors and supports young activists. His art has won numerous awards but the greatest affirmation is the uses to which is has been put by grassroots movements and communities.”

*Andrew Williams, Executive Director of Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA)
“Andrew Williams, Executive Director (HECUA) has over 25 years of experience in higher education as a teacher, mentor, academic advisor, and administrative leader. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana and raised within a working-class African-American family, Williams was a first-generation college student. His upbringing and academic experiences sparked his intellectual curiosity in social difference, political resistance and human inequality.
Recruited to play basketball, Andrew matriculated to Earlham College where his experiences and exposure to Quaker values sparked his sociological imagination and passion for social justice. Andrew eventually left the basketball team while serving as captain in protest over Earlham’s investments in corporations doing business in South Africa and joined leaders of the campus divestment movement. For Andrew, this was the beginning of a deep and sustained exploration of African and African Diaspora cultures and politics, engaged scholarship, and political activism.
Throughout his career, Williams has worked to balance and link research, teaching, and political engagement on issues of interculturality, educational equity, international development, human rights, learning abroad, placed-based learning and social justice.
More recently, Williams has served as Director of Multicultural Affairs at Carleton College, Director of Development and Communication for Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights, Assistant Director of the Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence at the University of Minnesota, and Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion within the University of Minnesota’s College of Liberal Arts.” hecua.org

Benefits of dream work
“Dreams allow us to connect with the mysterious sides of ourselves. What’s happening on a subconscious or unconscious level. It can reveal deep seated emotions or teach us about things we need to heal in our waking life.”
“I’ve always felt that Some other aspect of yourself doing work in other dimensions. Another dimension of the self.”
Dreams Schools of Thought: Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung
“Two of the biggest or most well known thinkers and students of dreams are psychologists Sigmund Freud and his friend and disciple Carl Jung. They did a lot of research on dreams with their patients and their own dreams. And I think they’d agree that dreams show another dimension of the self.”
“Freud believed that dreams- like everything- are subject to cause and effect- springing directly from some aspect of the unconscious mind. Both Freud and Jung agreed that dreams are expressions of our unconscious- that part of us that knows everything about us. It knows your blood pressure right now. It knows everything. That’s also the part we connect with in meditation. An important key to dream recall is wanting to remember.”
Remembering Dreams
“I know for me I wake up and record my dreams right away. I use to write them but now I use a voice recorder app on my phone. And I will just start talking into my phone even while I’m still half asleep or not fully awake.
I have a better chance of capturing the dream if I record it before I fully awaken. Because it does not help to use the waking rational memory functions when trying to remember dreams. When you are fully awake and try to recall a dream with waking memory it often escapes you entirely. Freud called it dream amnesia - because it is a defense mechanism of the ego to repress those details.”
“Meditation is one tool that’s excellent in helping you begin to remember your dreams. They are similar states of consciousness - dreaming and meditation. A lot of times people think meditation is an act (like sitting with your eyes closed) but it’s actually a state of consciousness that’s why there are so many forms of meditation. Many ways or tools to help you reach that state.”
Sleeping and Waking States
“There’s no exact moment of awaking to sleeping, it’s more of a drop, fade or falling asleep. That’s where waking thoughts and visualizations gradually assume a hallucinatory or visionary aspect. This drifting from waking to sleeping is called Hypnagogia.”
“Kind of like that moment right when you are waking but you are still kind of sleep - it’s a trance like state. You can also experience dreams here as well. These are called hypnopompic dreams.”
“It is an attempt to quiet the ego, drifting from wakefulness to sleep is an attempt of the ego to take control, it’s losing its grip. This is also part of attaining a meditative state - stilling or quieting the ego. It’s kind of balancing yourself between waking and sleeping. It’s quite powerful. That’s how so many wonderful revelations can happen during meditation and we have an enormous ability to heal and transform our lives during these meditative states.”
“In yoga, through an ancient text called the “Upanishad” describes the body as having layers or “koshas.” Each layer fits inside the other. So, the idea is that each person has multiple layers that make up their being.”
“I wanted to explain these koshas/layers because we’re more than our physical bodies, there are several cylinders firing up within and around each person, so the dream state perhaps plays out between the koshas and offers an opportunity to heal and work with not only the physical and mental layers but through the various subtle layers.”
“There’s also “yoga Nidra” which some people describe as a yoga nap, it’s a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. The body is relaxed but the mind is staying alert, a little bit different from Sivasana since the mind is awake.”
Dream Moods and Emotions
“Emotional dimensions in dreams are characterized by moods. The first dream app I ever used is called dream moods. You plug in the details of your dream and look up the symbolism. It’s a great start to decoding your dreams. And it fits cause each dream has a mood. The mood and subject matter don’t have to correlate.”
Dreams and Astrological Transits
“Sometimes depending on what astrological transits we’re experiencing, our dream state could be deeper or more intense. You definitely want to pay attention to when Neptune, the planet of inspiration, dreams, psychic receptivity and illusion (also the ruler of Pisces) is prominent in the sky because there could be messages of intuition or spiritual transformation present through your dreams and waking life.”
Dream Symbolism
“Symbolism is so important in dreams. Everything is a symbol or has a symbolic meaning even colors. I often dream of swimming.”
“But I learned it symbolizes my ability to cope with my emotions. So the quality will change in my ability to swim or the quality of the water or the location - I can swim from country to country in my dreams! But it really reflects my emotional state or my ability to cope and manage my emotion.”
Popular Dream Symbolism
“There are many popular symbols, but even the symbol depends on the nature of the dream. For instance, Flying (associated with freedom, breaking free, escaping), but were you flying in plane, flying unassisted-- those variances could impact the meaning.”
“Falling has been associated with feeling insecure, anxious, overwhelmed or out of control.
Teeth falling out -fear, fear of aging, fear of your voice not being heard.
Or, being back in school- some anxiousness about information, or being in a new social situation, or sometimes it might mean you’re remembering a time of feeling more secure in life. It depends again on the nature of the school and what else was happening.”
Lucid Dreams
“Lucid dreaming, taking control of your dreams. (can be therapeutic, can use it to answer deeper questions about emotions and desires). Lucid dreams occurs spontaneously when the dreamer notices an anomaly or something unusual happens (husband turns into a fish).”
“There are some cool dream apps out there with dictionaries and dream symbolism index, like iDream, Dream Dictionary and Dreamscope. Check out some of them and just do your best to get use to checking in with yourself and recording your dreams.”

Show Highlights:
Loved Ones on the Other Side
“When we talk about connecting with loved ones on the other side, we’re doing it “in the light” through love and awareness. We aren’t promoting séances, or using spirit boards or connecting with unknown spirit energy. This is firmly based in the light of love. And that love connection never dies, even though the body dies our love connections transcend time and space.”
Albert Einstein on Energy
“According to Albert Einstein, scientist, genius, energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another. An example is how chemical energy can be converted into kinetic energy.
When a person dies, their energy or essence isn’t destroyed, it transforms into a different form, which doesn’t have a body; nor is it only operating in the 3D dimension of time and space.”
Energy and Near Death Experiences
“There’s so many of us who’ve had experiences where you dream about a loved one that has passed, or have some type of experience that just doesn’t make sense, and it’s hard to explain, but you feel like your deceased loved one is with you or communicating with you.”
“There are so many famous or popular near death experiences that also show us that people pass from their bodies and continue to have conscious experiences. Most of these stories are really beautiful and life affirming.”
“One of my favorite stories isn’t really a near death experience, but is about one woman’s experience of suffering a stroke. The book is called My Stroke of Insight and the author is Jill Bolte-Taylor. It’s a phenomenal story. Jill was a woman pretty conscious of how her body and mind were affected by her stroke who noticed an increase in her sensitivities in various areas of her life.
She became really aware of people’s energy even if they never said a word. There was a time when she was hospitalized, but couldn’t communicate or process mentally the way she normally could. And so she had this intense sensitivity to people’s energy, her nurses, her mother, strangers, etc.
The main lesson I got from her book and experience was to be aware of the energy I am bringing into a space because it absolutely has an affect. I am usually aware of other’s energy, but that put me on the road to really understanding and being responsible for my energy. It’s something I still am learning and practicing today. It has layers to it.”
Research on People Transitioning
“David Kessler, author of the book “Visions, Trips and Crowded Rooms” has done some extensive research on death, grief and transitions into the after life. He interviewed doctors, nurses, hospice workers, dying people and their families about the days and moments leading up to people’s deaths.
And, many of those people had similar stories of the dying seeing a light, or talking about taking a trip, as well as seeing loved ones who had already died returning to them in their final moments to take them back “home.” And of course, feelings of love and peace were also common themes among the dying.”
10 Signs of Divine Communication from Loved Ones
Butterflies
Dreams
Personal mementos
Seeing or hearing your loved one’s names, nicknames, pet names
Familiar scents or smells (ex. Perfume, cigar smoke, shampoo)
Music (ex. Wedding song, favorite song)
Familiar feelings
Rainbows
Finding coins or loose change
Being led back to a familiar place
Dreams of Deceased Loved Ones
“I always have dreams of loved ones who have passed on. And in the dream I know that they have passed and I know that I’m talking to them. I saw an interview with Mindy Kaling; I think it was when she was pubbing the movie A Wrinkle In Time.
But she said she had dreams of her mother after passed and she was aware in the dream that she was talking to her mother after her death. Mindy said she kept saying “This is can’t be happening or you can’t be here.” and she said her mom would just say, “I know, I know.” But its like she was there and like hey let’s chat and catch up.”
“I’ve had that same experience with my good friend Ray in passed in 2008 and my grandfather, he passed in the nineties and he had a rad acid washed jean jacket on in my dream and he though it was cool and hip. It was funny because I knew it was my granddad. I dream about my dad like that too. I don’t doubt it. I know in the moment that they are visiting me. Anytime a deceased person I know appears in a dream I know they are visiting me!”
Butterfly Symbolism
“A really good friend of mine passed away unexpectedly. A few months before she passed away, I had given her a butterfly necklace. It was the last time I saw her, but for some reason when I gave her the necklace I thought I might not see her again. I don’t know why. I thought it was because I had moved across the country to California and wouldn’t get back to visit her and my family as much.
After she passed away, I kept having these experiences where butterflies would surround me. It happened on more than one occasion. One time I was really sad, the grief had hit me hard and I was leaving my acupuncturist who helped me through it.
Well, I get to my car and these butterflies were flying around my window. Then, another time, after her funeral, I was lying out by a pool, back in California and four butterflies were flying around me, even landing on me! I have a photo of it somewhere. But, I knew it was a “hello from heaven”.
“Seeing and hearing other people’s experiences made me more open to the possibility and beliefs that our loved ones energy can communicate with us in the earth-dense plane. It’s more likely than not.”
How to Honor Deceased Loved Ones
“There are many ways to honor your loved ones. You can carry on a tradition or cause in their memory. You can designate a special space in your home to remember them and may respect. Talking to them or writing them a letter is nice too because they hear you. You can do something they us to love to do, something fun and joyous! Their spirit and love never dies. It expands.”
Clearing and Shielding with White Light
“If you do want to connect with your loves ones, make sure to holding loving thoughts and surround yourself with white light. You want to shield your energy and clear out any energy that isn’t in the light. And the best way to do that is through prayers, or visualizing a white light around you.”
“We hope that by sharing our stories you are able to recognize signs from your loved ones on the other side. And hopefully we’ve quelled some fears around the idea that your loved ones are communicating with you from the other side. We want to validate those people who’ve had similar experiences or have questions about this topic and remind them that energy transforms, but the bonds of Love can never be broken.”

We’ll be exploring and discussing intuition, how to recognize it and the various ways intuition speaks to people. We thought it would be fun for all of us to take a quiz to find out what is the primary channel to receive divine communication. We’ll discuss how reading energy and managing energy are connected to intuition; the ways in which spirit communicates with us and people’s fears about their intuition or receiving divine guidance versus false guidance.

Whether you’re new to astrology or obsessed like Keme and Robyn, this episode covers how to use astrology to learn more about your true nature, as well as how to read the planets on the daily and harness the planets’ energies. “What’s your sign” is only the beginning of the astrology conversation.
Astrology has been around for thousands of years across various civilizations throughout the world, which is why writing it off as nonsense is a bit short sighted in the grand scheme of things.
There are various ways astrology is viewed throughout time and civilizations: Western astrology (USA/Europe), Vedic/Jyotish (Indian), African cosmos, Chinese and Native American astrology all exist.
We explore what is a soul, what is the spirit path, when we realized we were more than our physical bodies and how spirit influences our happiness, passions and daily mind-body-spirit connection.
The spirit path is about connecting more with that inner, mystical, magical, divine part of ourselves. That part of us that connects us with everyone and everything, us. The spirit path is about living with an awareness of all aspects of yourself - mind, body and spirit.
Meet Keme and Robyn
