This week its deflation after being knocked out the Champions League in the last 16.It's never the same turning the tv on during a Tuesday and Wednesday night and your team is no longer involved. On what was a good start to Super Sunday with Spurs v Bournemouth the first 45 of Manchester United and Arsenal was a tough watch.

Bruno Fernandes free kick at the end of the first half brought the game to life a little bit but this game was played exactly where both teams are at.

Manchester United struggling and low on confidence while Arsenal have lost momentum and are blunt up top.

The most interesting part of the whole game were the post match interviews after with Mikel Arteta and Ruben Amorim.

You could tell Arteta is frustrated after the questions of "do you feel let down not having signed a striker and is the league title now over?"

Meanwhile Amorim apologised to the United fans for sitting deep at home. Something I actually think he should be proud of himself for doing.

Elsewhere at the weekend Nottingham Forest beat Man City 1-0 to keep their hopes of a dream season making the Champions League spots alive.

Lots of content to come this week with plenty of games in Europe and then at the weekend with the Old Firm and the League Cup final.

I watched the game between Real Madrid and Atletico last night. They are always great games especially in the Champions League.Is it just me or does Simeone make that "defensive" football seem cool? I have chatted to a few friends and family members who are Rangers fans and I was pretty surprised at the negative re action they had to Barry Ferguson being appointed manager after sacking Phillipe Clement.

I know he's not had a great track record as a coach, but I thought that having him in till the end of the season seemed like a correct move. Then take it from there.

This got me thinking so I had a little dig on Transfer Market to see what it has looked like for Rangers since going bust and being relegated to League Two, alongside how many trophies they have won since they came back up.

I then had a quick look at both Rangers and Celtics signings in and out to compare.

Rangers fans please comment below how you think you can catch Celtic both on and off the pitch.

After Spurs vs Manchester United on Sunday I had a good debate with my friends, my brother and my Dad on the state of Man United and what needs done for the manager to succeed.

I feel that the job Ruben Amorim has is the job of reviving a club. It's more than just putting your formation and philosophy on the first team. It's rebuilding and shifting the mindset of a massive club.

After this I started looking into Sir Alex Ferguson again alongside what Mikel Arteta has done at Arsenal and what Jurgen Klopp did at Liverpool.I found between them and also Arsene Wenger, there seemed to be a pattern of a spike in points within the second season which usually becomes the catalyst moment for success.

All of these managers I mentioned have one thing in common- Longevity at the club and the job they start doing. They get given the time.

It's about more than a formation. It's the foundations.

Well well well. I predicted Manchester City to get something at the Emirates this weekend and it couldn't have been any further from what happened. Arsenal smashed then 5-1.

Kinda tired of hearing the whole Rashford stuff at the moment. Amorim doesn't want him and he wont't change his mind. Simple as that.

Huge win for Bournemouth at the weekend beating Forest 5-0. No one saw a win as emphatic as that coming.

I know how we football fans feel about "academy products". But I really feel for where Manchester United are right now getting 70 million for Garnacho may not be a bad thing moving forwards.
