On War: The Podcast

Alasdair and Austin continue last week's discussion on the 'unholy trinity' of Chemical, Nuclear and Biological weapons, this time from the perspective of their use by non-state actors. Do the 'rules of war' restrain those deliberately excluded by them? Do non-state actors have their own 'rules' prohibiting the use of these weapons, or is this the real 'boogeyman' of CRBN?

This is Part 2 of a two-part series on CRBN use and the laws of war.

In this Episode, Alasdiar and Austin respond to a question from the listeners regarding the laws of war and the 'unholy trinity' of Chemical, Nuclear and Biological Weapons. Just how much of a threat do these weapons pose? What limitations, be they practical, social or legal, really apply to them? Is there truly any point in possessing them?

This episode is the first of a 2-part series, and covers this topic with regard to their use, possession and development for Nation-States. Part 2, to be released next week, will cover the same for 'non-state actors' such as insurgents and violent extremist groups.
