Sexy Small Town Charm

Loved this story! Ms. Carroll-Bradd expertly managed to weave subtle, yet strong sexual tension in the pages of this fun, short story. Her vivid setting and description instantly make you feel a part of "Mama's" house and the small town community. And, tall, dark-haired, blue-eyed Dietz is irresistible right from the start. Poor Franzi doesn't stand a chance against him and her family when they all conspire to get the couple back together after a decade apart. A fun, heart-warming romance you don't want to miss!

Highly entertaining

I love stories about strong career women and the strong men who love them. Franzi is a strong woman who left a strong handsome cowboy behind to pursue her career in fashion design. He never stopped loving her. Now Franzi is home for the Thanksgiving holiday and Deitz has only one week to prove to her that she's better off coming home than returning to her high-stress big city job. Can he do it? Throw in a couple of meddling parents, a stage show and a small town full of colorful characters and you have a delightful story.

Small Town Charmer

This was an enjoyable, fast read. I loved the small town setting and related to the family's German background. The author has set up a possible series, and I hope I have a chance to read about the heroine's brothers.

You could smell the coffee and the baking bread

The story was short, but it is well written. Due to the length, there are spots that could have been a little more fleshed out, but the author concentrated on what was important and the story came together beautifully.

The story starts out with Franzi, our heroine, trying to get all the pressing stuff on her desk dealt with before she leaves for her hometown for Thanksgiving. Most of us can relate to the juggling of emails, telephone calls and faxes all coming in at the same time and having to be dealt with immediately. Then a co-worker comes in and maliciously adds to her stress level. Franzi needs this vacation home to decompress on a personal level and to help like she does every year with the annual show her Mother puts on for the veterans at the local hospital.

Franzi's train doesn't get in until the evening and there is no one from her parents' ranch to meet her. Sigh. Her bad day is getting worse.
