Dante and I give an unfiltered, honest reflection about our time at RIT, through all the ups and downs. We explain how the ability to play soccer at the collegiate level had a substantial impact on our university decision, and how much being a part of a collegiate team can have an impact on many different aspects of our day to day lives, both positively or negatively. We discussed critical points in both of our lives during this time, from my decision to part ways with the soccer team, Dante's contemplation of choosing the right major for him, and both of us mulling transferring from the school completely. Although our initial perspective of the school was very negative, by adjusting our unrealistic expectations and making fundamental lifestyle amendments, our perspective and overall appreciation grew greatly.

In Part 1 of this 2 part special, Peter starts by explaining his upcoming position with Bank of America and how he intends to specialize in aiding small businesses with the loan application process, specifically restaurants. He emphasizes how food delivery companies (ex: Grubhub) have been taking an unfair amount of revenue from these restaurants and how that needs to and can change with prompt action from the government. Peter then shares how he feels that technology(i.e cell phones) are actually dividing us more than bringing us together, and how we must learn how to redefine the terms of our relationships with technology, citing "Digital Minimization" by Cal Newport as a book that really helped him with this challenge. Raziq, a 2nd year student at the University of Waterloo, describes his upcoming internship at the Alberta Children's Hospital and how the ever evolving field of biomedical engineering is using neuroscience to help people's everyday lives. Fresh off of winning  a silver medal with Waterloo's varsity squash team, Raziq also explains how he has been able to balance athletics with his academics and social life, as athletics has played a part in keeping him more disciplined in school. Lastly, Raziq emphasizes how overcoming personal fears and coming out of your shell can reap so many benefits, especially when put in new situations.

In this episode, Amaan, a kinesiology student at Western University from Calgary, Alberta, explained how he has enjoyed his first 2 years in London before it was cut short and how he has been so happy with his decision to leave Calgary, although he could see himself moving back in the future. We dove into his role with the London Knights hockey club and discussed the importance of sports analytics, especially hockey because he had a direct role in the field. From misconceptions about who he is to a must try modern-style Indian restaurant, I hope you enjoy this episode!

Celina, a second year student at Western University from Vancouver, explains how her transition back to Vancouver has been, emphasizing how the importance of giving everyone a good amount of space has been very beneficial for her and her family. While this time has been difficult as the social aspect of her life has been limited, she has turned to art to help her avoid technological distractions in order to find a healthy balance. She explains her university decision process and why she chose Western; while she loves the school and life that she is living there, she opens up about her struggles during first year regarding finding the program of most interest to her. Lastly, Celina shares her thoughts on the underrated importance of therapy, as she believes that it can provide as an outlet to release your thoughts and help understand yourself in a deeper context.
