Once for All Delivered

Caleb and Andrew wrap up their discussion of the Covenant of Works. What is the relationship between law, creation, and covenant? What role does merit play in the Covenant of Works? What is the danger of denying the covenant of works? What are some objections that have been raised to this doctrine?

Andrew and Caleb roll out of bed too early in the morning to discuss the covenant with Adam before the fall. What names do theologians offer for this covenant and why? What is the relationship between this covenant and creation? What were the terms?

Andrew and Caleb press on with their study of Covenant Theology. What biblical texts support the doctrine of the Covenant of Redemption? What is the relationship between this covenant and election? Do we see the Covenant of Redemption in the Reformed confessions? Why do some object to the Covenant of Redemption?

What is the Covenant of Redemption? Where does it fit into our understanding of systematic theology? How does methodology perhaps inform objections to the Covenant of Redemption? How does Jesus’ prayer in John 17 inform us about this covenant?

Caleb and Andrew continue their new series on covenant theology by doing a quick historical survey of covenant theology since the Reformation. What definitions have been offered for covenant? How did Casper Olevianus approach the issue? What about others? Who signed up Bavcast for Match.com?

Caleb and Andrew are back with a new series on Covenant Theology. They distinguish covenant theology from alternatives such as dispensationalism, and provide some of the biblical basis for a covenantal reading of scripture.

What biblical words relate to the Day of the Lord? What is “prophetic telescoping”? What does Bavinck tell us about the Day? How does this help us to understand the book of Revelation? How does it inform this life?

While Andrew takes a break, Caleb is joined by Aaron van der Heiden, graduating senior at Mid-America Reformed Seminary, to discuss the Day of the Lord. How should we understand this day as it is presented to us in Scripture? What is the "double-dual" nature of the Day? How does this give us hope?

To celebrate one year on the air, Caleb and Andrew go behind the scenes of Bavcast. They reflect on how Bavcast came to be, talk about favorite discussions, and are joined by producer (and Andrew's wife) Heidi Smyth to talk about how Bavcast gets made.

Caleb and Andrew finish up chapter 8 of WWG. Do we need more confessions? What is the relationship between confessions and creeds? How does Roman Catholicism err in its use of tradition?
