She wanted his love and to have his children. He only saw her as the 'sister' he needed to protect, sometimes from himself.
I enjoyed this story because of Kate's character. To want simply to be loved, and have a family is as basic as breathing. Her father had come to the Gage family as a bodyguard and gave his life protecting them. Kate and her sister, Molly remained in the Gage family and have been cared for ever since. Problem is, Kate loves Garrett. Garrett has always felt he had the role of big brotherly protector. His wanting her was not appropriate.
Waiting for them to communicate with each other and admit their feelings for one another was not only the most frustrating, but also the most enjoyable part of the book. I always love a happy ending. Add to this the intense attraction between these two and you've got a great afternoon read that will leave you feeling good.
Don't buy, waste of money. Bad story.
To much angst. I love harelquin presents. But spending $3 was not worth it. No real story. The hero was good and bad! Nothing in between to substantiate why. The heroine was weak and unrealistic. She's moving to Florida with no plans. This one should have free.
NEVER DOUBT YOURSELF
This was a good read, it is really shocking that most times one doesn't realise what's in front of one's face. Garrett caught himself just in the nick of time, and Kate was so noble leaving so he could live the life he chose over her. Ms. Garnier would there be a book on the half brother and the heiress. hint hint
Good book
I have liked every Red Garnier book I have read so far. Once Pregnant, Twice Shy was a good read with likeable characters and a HEA. I can't wait to read Emerson's book since I have read Molly & Juliens story & Kate & Garretts story.
