This book wasn't very well written. It is interesting enough to read, clever at times, but there is No ending. To see what happens, you have to buy the next book, so beware.

Billionaire books are popular these days, so we felt we should review this one by the accomplished Sierra Rose. The titles of the three parts foreshadow what you'll find. As seems to be the rule for billionaire romances, the heroine begins her adventure with a lie: she'll fake an engagement. Once that premise is established, the story flows effortlessly, and by the name of the two additional installments to this long novel, you have a good idea what you'll read. For lovers of Billionaire romances, this is a likely choice.

A story of great riches!

Harvey and Bella we're great together. This story showed how love is not about money but of great feelings. Despite what Society thought Bella & Harvey were meant to be. But then the wicked witch mother and the crazed brother came and spoiled everything. I truly enjoyed this story because it was a tug at your heart kind of thing. I pray that Bella wins in the end that's why I'm going to buy part 2!

Whatttt?!?!? It's a 2 part book and leaves at a cliff hanger!!!!!

How did I miss that? There is nothing I dislike more than a cliff hanger!! But to stop in the middle of a story????... well, let me put it like this....I will not be giving this author another chance!

Objectively...? It was well written. There were no typos good editing a story that held my interest. But then it just ended with no resolution, no HEA, not even an unhappy ever after.

Read it today!

Sierra Rose is the bet in romance fiction, and this is her 2nd best series. There are 3 parts, so it's just the thing for a cold and wet day. Her characters are believable and interesting. Her books are well edited. You won't be sorry you've invested time with Ms. Rose and her cleverly plotted novels.

Quick and easy listen

I listened to this on my aunties Audible account. I enjoyed this book a lot. I hope I meet a Dave of my own one day! Because Ive kicked aside a few Lees in my time. Love Ash and her friends, and I like that they are all rich kids. Its good to read the age old tail that money cant buy you happiness but true love can. This was a fun listen.

short and swet, a happy story

This story is short and sweet. Good for any age group. It is a great second chance love story. In love as young adults life separates them and they go down different paths. She marries and has a child. She returns to her home town after her father passes away to help her mother run their resort. her daughter is going to college in a near-by town. He has also returned to their home town. He has expanded his family farm into a very thriving business, he has a 6 year old daughter.

They meet again. Right away they find out the misunderstanding that separated them. They get their HEA. It was a good story and I would definitely recommend it to any age group looking for a quick read with a great ending.

Sweet holiday romance

I enjoyed this short holiday tale of love lost and found again. I think, however, it would work well too as a full scale story with some details filled in. The transition to the wedding feels a little abrupt as it stands and my copy had some formatting issues too, primarily extra spaces. That aside, the holiday setting, the sweet little girl and the reignited spark all make for an enjoyable seasonal read.

Memories

Brings back memories of my high school sweetheart. We are still friends after so many years have gone by. Thanks for another good book.

A huge sprawling novel well worth reading despite its patches of purple prose.

Even though conciseness and tight form weren't Hugh Walpole's strong suit, he had considerable storytelling gifts and hooked me with this 1933 opus. It was a memorable read that left in me a desire to read more of his output. Sharp, witty insights abound in this story of Vanessa Paris, an upper class English woman in 1880's London.

Loved it!

Submission and truth will set you free....

Great older man/younger woman story with well developed characters! I love the chemistry between Mathilda and Victor and how they just pulled me right into their story and kept me totally enthralled with them until the very end! I look forward to reading more from Amber Young!

Short but Sweet!

I really like this book! I normally have a hard time getting invested in shorter stories however i loved this one. I felt like it was written to not just be a buildup to one good scene at the end. It felt more like a full length novel (just shorter) than most the other short stories that come across my account. No complaints at all~

Great narration as always! Sarah Puckett's work is amazing. I have several of her works and have loved them all.

Cute, light story

Would you listen to Failure to Stop again? Why?

Yeah, it was an enjoyable experience.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Devon - he's a sweetheart and I love how much he cares for Violet.

What about Sarah Pucketts performance did you like?

She has a nice tone, and she speaks clearly. I liked her little accent she used for the main character.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The first kiss between Devon and Violet.

This is a second chance love story, which I adore reading second chance, so I loved that aspect, but I did want more character development and romantic development between the characters. The romance is sweet, the characters are likable, and I liked the small town setting. Violet has returned home after some surprising information comes out about the guy she's been "dating", so she ends up going back to her small hometown to get her head back on straight. When she arrives home, she runs into her high school boyfriend, Devon, they both are excited to see the other, but some past and present hurts may get in the way of them starting a new relationship. These 2 loved each other deeply when they were younger, and I enjoyed the connection between the two. Devon is such a sweetie! I was so sad for him! Some devious deeds caused problems for Devon and Violet in the past and present, so these two need to work through some painful situations if they are going to try to be in a relationship again, which I enjoyed reading how that would play out, and I would've actually have loved for there to be more angst with this situation, but this book is fairly short, so it didn't quite go into that enough.

I enjoyed the book over all as I did the last one in this series. I love the county setting and the idea of giving life to an old house. Unfortunately I found the main character Emily a bit weak, whiny and sometimes frustrating.

4.5 Do-Good Stars

This book was so different from most of the books that I've read. The thing that stood out the most for me was that it was written in both first person and third person. The heroines POV is written in first person and alternates chapters with the heroes POV, which was written in third person. I don't ever remember reading a book written this way and I realize that a lot of people won't love it but it worked for me.

Lara and Fletch have a complicated history, one that Fletch doesn't want to forget and one that Lara can't let go of. Three years ago they both had one night where they got everything they desired but afterwards, when everything fell apart, so did they.

Lara spends her free time trying to make up for, what she perceives as, the bad karma she created that night by doing good deeds for anyone who asks. Fletch just wants her to realize that the harder she works at making up for that night, the more attention she brings to it. Can either of them really move on and forget what happened that one night, when really all they both want is more?

This book was a slow-burn, but in the best way, because you could feel the tension between Lara and Fletch but that slow burn was also the reason I found myself annoyed at both characters. It was both frustrating and heartbreaking to watch as Lara based her whole worth on her good deeds. It was equally frustrating that Fletch let himself get so angry with her about her deeds instead of showing her that he understood her need to do them but how she was worth more than what she did for other people. The fact that they couldn't communicate these things to each other in any other way than with contempt made for a lot of back and forth, which also contributed to the tension, which was important to their journey.

Underneath all of the pain and contempt they showed for each other there was deep, pure love waiting to burst to the surface. It was the journey to that burst that made this story so good.

I second the thought that there needs to be counseling before marriage. There would be a lot less problems if every couple or family would put God first in there lives.

Another short book!

Cute story, but short. It does have a happy ending though. I read it in about 30 minutes. I want a book I have time to sink into.
