You'll have a Dickens of a time reading this!

Love Found in Boerne, Texas, was a cute story about a couple who meet at a Charles Dickens event. Through fun escpades and what ends up being an amusing misunderstanding, they find themselves becoming more involved. If you like a quick read full of wit and romance, you'll like this story. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

My very own Charles Dickens

A very quick read and even quicker romance.

Rachel has been wanting to attend this 'Charles Dickens' event for years, she is so looking forward to it. When her plans to spend the entire weekend alone change she never expected to meet Charlie. Is he to good to be true? When doubt arise can she find a way to help him? Rachel is a small town country girl while Charlie is a big city cowboy. They have an instant connection even when she is so excited to be there and he is not.

I was given a copy of this novella from the author for my honest opinion.

A great Read

This is a wonderful romance set in Bourne,Texas at Christmas.

I loved the characters of Rachel and Charlie and how they enjoyed the Dickens Christmas.

a must listen

I picked up this book because I love Mr. Callanan's voice and I am glad I did.

It starts out like any other story, character intros, showing the dynamics between the main characters. I was zoning out a bit in the beginning at the very detailed scenes, BUT... am I glad the author did that because the twist in the story is major, I mean life-altering major, I did not expect and what happens after is very detailed and eye-opening for somebody who has not gone thru that. It is about love, loyalty, friendship, family, what it means to have those when you need them the most. The book has crazy LOL moments, steamy dirty-talk scenes, and tear jerker ones too.

It ends well, but have tissues ready. Emma and Riley's wows are just beautiful, the nicknames for each other cracked me up. It put me thru the emotional wringer, but OH SO WORTH IT !!!

I think this is the best I heard so far from Mr. Callanan. He outdid himself in every way, the various voices, the emotions, the passionate delivery made this an enjoyable experience.

Good, fun, beach reading book from a great author!

It was easy for me to sink into to storyline and connect ...

"Life on the Level" (On The Verge #3) was this month's Book Club choice. I hadn't read anything from Zoraida before, so I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. What captured my attention was the tone of the book. It was easy for me to sink into to storyline and connect with the characters. I actually cared about what happened to them, especially the heroine, River Thomas, and that's what I hope for when reading a book by an author for the first time. There are two other books that are part of the "On The Verge" series and I look forward to reading them as well.

Love all her books.

Never simple.

River's story was never going to be simple. Even when she is trying her best to be good, s*** goes down and messes crop up and love is a constant complication. She is her own worst enemy most of the time except when nature's trying to kill her. (Or so it seems.) But she learns, eventually, and by the time we reach the end, every good thing is earned several times over so she can finally believe.

In other words, Recommended.

Another winner in a fabulous series

The Verdict: We were introduced to River in the previous book, and she was fun, we didnât really get to know her that well. Life on the Level clears that right up by giving us the insiderâs view to a life thatâs a lot more complicated than I really expected.

Riverâs got more than her fair share of problems, but while she may be a bit in denial ânot to mention on the run from some serious trouble, sheâs still doing the right thing and checking herself into rehab, hopefully the first step in turning her life around. But sheâs not quite ready to stop having fun, so before she trades in her freedom for twelve steps and group sessions, she has one last wild night, complete with the requisite one-night-stand and the empty bed in the morning. And then she meets the counselor at the rehab center.

Like the previous books in this series, Life on the Level is nothing you expect and everything you want in a romance. River isnât some cookie cutter romance heroine; sheâs fun, troubled, and saddled with more than your usual set of problems.

Neat work!

I am impressed how the author wrote this kind of story. I love reading romance stories and this book was the best book that I ever read so far. This book was fun and interesting to read. I finished reading it one sitting. The author knows how to get the attention of the readers. I wonât regret that I purchased and I put time to read this book. You will not get bore reading this story. Good job to the author. Keep up the good work!

In book 6 of The Billionaireâs Whim the author climaxes and wraps up the series perfectly. Barring any spoilers the series wraps up the same way any good romance series does. I can without a doubt say this is one of my favorite romance series to date. It kept me on my toes and each book left off with a gripping cliffhanger. I couldnât wait to start the next book. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the near future!

Great series

Really good series only annoying thing was first three books on kindle unlimited then had to buy other three . Really some great scenes and good storyline liked female character strong independent streak

This book has very nice story. I did not understand at first at since I bought this Book but after a while I slowly understand it. but base from my listening, it was entertaining and the characters are well developed. Great Book.

Good and entertaining book

I am tired of listening same story books and I want to listen something new story for me. I am browsing books that are new to me and I grabbed this book. The storyline of this book is great for me. Bobby and Mindy are totally amazing and hot. The twists are unpredictable and I want to read it again because of these twists. I like reading this kind of book now. I can say that this book is short and I hope it is longer.

This is one great romantic story full with amazing lovely moments. I enjoyed reading it and I couldn't leave this book until I reached the last page. One again Melissa Tatum hasn't disappointed me. I recommend reading all of her book series because they are truly amazing!

lovely Book!

Firstly I just loved the chemistry and attraction portrayed between the stars of the book Bobby and Mindy. I could actually visualize their love and romance while reading the book and the story line too kept me curious and wanting to read more without stopping. this romance book was one of the best in this category!

Eh

I have read all of this author's books and have absolutely loved them so I was really looking forward to this trilogy. Now that I finished it.. I don't know... I feel like the story was rushed and certain things that seemed to be a big deal in the previous two books were left out of the third book. For example, I was left wondering about her ex and "what they both lost" (being cryptic so that I don't give out any spoilers). Landon never found out!! Basically, everything that had to with the ex (including their last meeting / conclusion) felt rushed and like it was just swept under the rug and had no weight on the story, really. I guess he only served as a segue to introduce Asher who I saw will get his own book soon, of course. At this point, I feel like it might be time to end this series and start a new one. There *is* such a things as too many characters/stories and it's getting hard to keep up and remember who is who. Also, I'm usually all for insta-love but their relationship/feelings felt, again, rushed and there wasn't enough character development to fall in love with the characters. "Eh" - that's the best word to describe this trilogy. I know the author can do so much better so I'm looking forward to future works.

Part Three

I wanted to love this series, I really did but it just didn't do it for me. I decided to give this last book the benefit of the doubt because I normally love all of Deborah Bladon's books. I didn't love the second installment and I thought maybe it was a fluke and the last book would be better. I was completely wrong. I've been trying to read this novella for the last week and I lost interest right after I found out about Tess' father. I even skimmed the last half of it just to get through the rest. I felt that it was too many characters linked in one story together. It became a little confusing to remember everything and I felt some links in the story should've been left out because it really over complicated the book. This series wasn't a good one for Deborah.

Another Magnificent Story

Ms Bladon has once again surpassed all my expectations with Rise! She has talent for writing cliffhangers. Now sometimes those are a pain in the butt, but not hers. She lets you know how many books there are in the series and she gives you a fairly accurate schedule. Her characters are wonderfully simple but in a good way and she allows the circumstances to make them extraordinary! Rise is no different.

Warm, loving romance

--I was given this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fun, true to life, listen. Vincent LeMarco, a famous, handsome actor was in a horrible car crash leaving him disfigured and his acting career over. Annie, the local veterinarian helps him with an injured dog he finds. With the accident, Vincent becomes very humbles and realizes the worth of people. Annie has her own demons coming out of a marriage where her husband cheated on her, she has image issues and health problems. These two are destined for each other and their sweet, passionate path made for a wonderful afternoon listen.

Logan McAllister has a very rich voice and pulls off the part of suave, conceited actor well. I love his voice. The balance of his performace did not disappoint. Definitely will seek out more of his narration.

Short but Sweet!

I don't often read books this short, because I'm usually disappointed with character development. This book isn't great, but it is good. It has a dog story AND a sweet love story so what's not to like.

Narrator is decent, although he could slow down just a bit, to give a bit more feeling to the story. But he did read well and I always knew which character was talking.

The character's aren't perfect, so much more realistic than lots of books. Love the mention of audiobooks in Vincent's future plans ;O)

I'm kind of hoping this is one of those books where the author will realize the great opportunity with this story, and rewrite it into a full-length book. It could be a terrific book.

As is often the case, due to the brevity of this book and it's cost, it's not really worth a credit. But it is def worth a read. You can get through the whole book in one day :O)

I love listening to romance books! I love reading/listening books about wounded souls. This one definitely fits the bill. Vincent is a BIG star, a star too big for his britches. Unfortunately, he finds out the hard way and life takes him down a notch.

Probably yes. This book is a short story very interesting, althought impossible in my point of view. But, what is the life without impossible things?

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

For me, the most interesting aspect is a single man and woman meeting each other the way the find. The last interesting is the end.

SUPER SWEET H/H BUT SADLY ABSOLUTELY NO SPARKS

36 yr old Paige's mentally abusive marriage had really done a number on her self esteem and confidence - now divorced she's trying hard to put all that behind her and, with the help of her bubbly Sister Lil, she is slowly coming out of her shell. A big action movie is being shot in town starring Grey Richards and Lil really wants to go to see the handsome Actor but when they get there it's the mysterious man sitting to one side that Paige's eyes keeps being drawn to.

Over various events Paige learns that the handsome man with the mismatched eyes is actually Grey Richard's brother Kellan and he first strikes up a tentative friendship with Paige which, over time, leads to kisses, tender touches and the start of a sweet romance. But when the film is wrapped up Kellan has to head back to L.A. and, after weeks of mere phone calls Kellan invites Paige to come and try out his lifestyle and see what they could be together. With nerves, excitement and anxious trepidation over their forthcoming relationship Paige boards the plane that will change her life forever.... in tragic horrific ways, in heartbreaking ways and in ways that is going to severely test their feelings for one another.

This listen started out ok and the romance was slow and sweet but I never actually felt any passion between them and there was absolutely no sexual interaction other than a few tender kisses on cheeks, forehead etc and a couple of lip smackers.... but no touches, caresses or longing heated looks.... not even any sexy thoughts. So, although the romance was supposed to be there, I sadly didn't really feel it and, when the tragedy happened, there was even more strain on their relationship..... which eventually, understandably and predictably snapped. Even, months later when they'd made peace with each other and the HEA was in sight, the only vibe I got from them was friendship rather than any form of sizzles.

There were a few twists, drama and gruelling emotional heartache but there was also some plot threads that weren't explained or followed up. Their story was broken into 5 parts with each part being told from either Paige's or Kellan's POV's, the narrator was fine with female voices and emotions but I didn't much like her male voices which really didn't help with my enjoyment of the story.

Happy ever-aftering in Camelot.

Today I finished reading this wonderful little book. I have purchased several of the "Love Finds You in" books for my kindle, but this is the first one I have read, and if the rest are as good as this one, I have some very pleasant hours ahead of me. I must say that I was very pleased that this, although not overly Christian in theme, was refreshingly more so than quite a few other "Christian" fiction that I have read. Some of them only qualify in that they do not have bad language or sexual situations, which I am happy with, but this one actually had a Christian theme running through it. There was a huge cast of characters in this book, and I had a little bit of trouble keeping track of who was who, but all the "couples" seemed to get together in the end. All in all, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a sweet, Christian themed romance.

Knight worth reading about!

3.5 for me! Clean romance, Christian elements.

A fun story. Loved the camaraderie in the small town. It was so fun how it all came together, even the outsider was swept into the town, and wanted to be part of the 'community' that flourished there! Cute how the story came together to save the town and things came together for the h and H! Their mixed signals were cute to read. They were genuine, honest and kind people who truly deserved a HEA.

delightful laugh out loud book

Another delightful Janice Thompson book. I found myself laughing out loud while reading this book. I found it difficult to put this book down. It is well written. I loved the inspirational theme throughout the book as well.

great BOOK

LOVE the author. This book is a great insight into plays, I personaly have been a backstage crew member and this book brings back memories. Great fairy tail with great characters!! Love the series too
