Hello and welcome to Once Upon a Nightmare, the true crime in horror! In this episode I am joined by Raye from Not Before Coffee where we discuss the 1988 film loosely based on the Marcus twins, Dead Ringers, directed by David Cronenberg.
On the 19th of July, 1975, Bill Terrell, a building handyman for apartments at 460 E. 63rd St. and York Ave. in New York City was asked to go and investigate a foul odor coming from the 10th floor. Terrell would discover the bodies of Cyril and Stewart Marcus.

'All right. All right, bastard. I've finished running. So do what you want. Take your time - buddy. Take your time. Really, I'm thankful for the, uh... rest. I'm so... tired of being scared. So it's all right, it really is, it's all right. You can, uh, do anything you want to me, you can, uh, torture me, kill me, anything. But you can't have me. You cannot touch me'.
Hello and welcome to Once Upon a Nightmare, the true crime in horror! In this episode I discuss the 1982 film based on the real life events of Doris Bither, The Entity, directed by Sidney J. Furie.
Doris Bither claims she was attacked by an invisible assailant, multiple times, in her own home. Parapsychologists found evidence that her claims were true. What do you believe, do you believe in the paranormal and the story of The Entity?

Here is a little taster from the amazing podcast that is....Not Before Coffee. After you listen to this episode, go check out more! This is a podcast about all the things that happen after coffee. Books, film & mental health...life!
A Room with a View - This 1908 classic is one of my favourite novels. Set in beautiful Florence at the turn of the 20th Century and following the slow but emotional story of Lucy Honeychurch and George Emerson as they somehow find each other. In an unusual move for me, I watched the film before I read the book, but since the first time I read it, it's been at the top of my ever-growing re-read pile. So, why do I enjoy it so much? Listen to find out.

"This week, the gals stay in Canada to discuss an unsolved true crime case that has baffled individuals for more than 40 years. The case is that of Gordon Sanderson, an indigenous man who was travelling from Edmonton to Calgary in the 70's to see his brother. Unfortunately, he was never seen again. Simultaneously, a body was found in a septic tank near Tofield. The connections of Gordon's disappearance and, "Septic Tank Sam" weren't made for years, but thanks to DNA samples and the use of forensic genealogy - a connection was made. Tune in and hear more about the case, and learn what questions still remain. Need a distraction? We got you. Alberta RCMP detectives are looking for anyone who may have known or spoken to Gordon Sanderson before his death, or who may have information regarding this homicide.
