There a few people in the world that can lay claim to inventing a culinary experience that has been enjoyed by many people over many years. Our latest guest on the Once Were Warriors podcast can.
The proud inventor of the "Double Dog' Adrian 'ACE" Lipscombe joined Duddo and Platters to chat about his time at our footy club as a player, supporter, power lifter, Food and Beverage co ordinator and of course his time as President.
This week our guest on the Podcast played CHB for the innaugral team back in 1991 and has been a key member of the club ever since.
He is one of the Greatest Warriors, not so much for his football ability which was quite handy, but for his work in and around the club.
His and his families contribution to our club in unmatched. But it his character, the lovable man that he is, his left foot, his Blundstones and pink trackies (more on that later) that have created his legacy as a club great.
We hope you enjoy oiur chat with Adrian "Boardy" Board
This week our guest on the Podcast joined our club in 1999 and was a player and coach over a 6 year period, who’s impact on the club will be forever remembered.
His best footy may have been behind him when he walked through our doors, but perhaps one of his greatest achievements stood in front of him with the 2004 Senior (and Reserves) Premierships, as a player and coach.
Many people and coachers aspire to leave a place or club better than when they joined. This man certainly did that.

Episode 11on the Podcast is a PART 1 of a chat with a man who our club will be forever indebted to.
Firstly for his work as a player and coach, will 200 games as a player and many as a coach. But secondly, and for the most part, his love and passion for the club that saw him become President of the club in 2013 after the Wyndham Suns breakup.
This man is a true clubman, and through listening to his story, you will get an understanding as to how much Simon Christo means to our club, and how much our club means to Simon Christo.
In Episode 9 (?) of the Once Warriors Podcast Platters and Duddo bring in 3 special guests to chat about one of the greatest years in the clubs history - the 2007 season and premiership. The chat features Grant Connors - one of the assistant coaches that season, Nick Smith - a seasoned football veteran and Daniel White - current player and former club captain.
A great chat about a great time for the club, noted by many as one of the strongest sides to every pull on the blue, green and gold. Clear the schedule, this is a long episode, but a very enjoyable and memorable.
This week our guest on the Podcast is part of a very small group of people involved at our club - a 200 game and 2 time premiership player.
This man is held in very high regard by all, not only for his playing ability – which is at the top of end in our history, but for his all round efforts in making our club a better place. These efforts have involved roles on the various committees and amongst other he has recently taking charge of our publicity and social media. But it his latest roles that may leave his biggest impact on the club – is role as a coach.
Join Dave and Platters for great chat with Gary Walker, who is taking on the role as Under 19s coach in 2021

Few people in our club have made more of a contribution to the club and its players, and is more loved by the players he coached along the way than Fab Gatti.
Over an 11 year period, he held roles as Senior Coach, Reserves Coach and under 19s Coach, and of the 5 premierships in the Westbourne cupboard, this man has coached 2 of them, including the 2007 D3 Senior premiership.
Fab joined Platter and Dave this week to chat about his journey in footy and his time at the club. A great chat with a great man!
This week on the Once Were Warriors Podcast series, Platters and Duddo chat with someone that has been through some up and down times of our club – the highs of a premiership, and the lows of a wooden spoon, maybe even a couple.
He has done it all with a smile on his face, a jovial attitude and club first outlook. He is as respected as anyone who has walked through the club, highlighted by his appointment as captain for the 2020 season.
He has had a massive personal challenge in recent times, which he is overcoming and has signed on to lead the Warriors in 2021. The man I speak of is Adam Rompel.
