What a time to be alive! We take a deep dive into the week ahead in esports...and then take a quick look back at HCS Atlanta at the end. We'll talk about the final week of Shift Summer League. We'll look forward to the end of VCT Challengers in North America, as well as group stages for VCT Champions. We'll also talk about the EWC competition for Apex that's coming up this weekend. And of course we'll try and keep things condensed down to a good lunchtime podcast pace. Don't forget to check out the youtube for more weekly esports content

Last weekend we saw the conclusion of the Valorant Champions Tour 2024 regular season play. The field for VCT Champions Seoul is set. Can Gen.G continue their dominance in the 2024 season? Can G2 complete the run from Ascension to Champions?

We also are halfway through the Shift Summer League in EU and NA. have you gotten to check the videos yet? Can Oxygen go the distance in EU? Is the new Dignitas roster better than the former LG roster and SSG?

We'll also take an early look into the Esports World Cup Apex Legends event that kicks off mid next week.

The esports world cup has started, but is anyone even talking about it? Last weekend we had history in the Apex Legends Global Series with a 13 game match-point final with 16 teams eligible going into the last game. Valorant Champions Tour starts their playoffs this week. And is pay-to-play becoming the way in RLCS for your big brand teams?

OnCue esports covers your biggest esports news and esports updates. VCT, ALGS, RLCS, and more.

Im a little late this week as my casting schedule has gotten pretty full, and will stay that way for the next 2 and a half months until spring semester is done for the college, high school, and middle school leagues Im working with.

We've got half of our VCT Madrid qualifiers finalized(3 at the time of recording). We have ONE more qualifier left in EVERY region for RLCS. And ALGS returns to action this weekend with an action packed weekend!

DRX fails to make Madrid along with NAVI and Fnatic for VCT. Vitality just might not make LAN 1, Copenhagen, after having a perfect split last season.

This week we take a little break from talking about ALGS. The Apex Legends Global Series is currently on a break with the new season being released, but there is still plenty of other esport news to cover. With CRL teams making noise in the Rocket League Championship Series, is there a reason NA cant seem to close the gap despite an apparent abundance of new talent. We have almost every region in RLCS wrapping up qualifier 2 this weekend, and teams are running out of time to secure a slot for the first major. And with Valorant Champions Tour kickoff starting up this weekend we'll take a look around the opening round of group play. We have ALL FOUR regions of VCT in action, so we'll cover a bit of everything.
