Embracing Abundant Life

One Bad Apple

One Bad Apple

Sin, when tolerated, rationalized, or ignored, will eventually corrupt the whole life. Walking in the light requires continual dependence on Christ. (1 Corinthians 5:6–7, Romans 12:3)

God’s moral order cannot be bypassed, and actions produceconsequences—spiritually and practically. (Galatians 6:7–8)

·      Reaping may be delayed, but it is certain.

·      What we permit today shapes what we experience tomorrow.

God warns us because He loves us and His truth is given topreserve, not restrict us. Ignorance is often willful, not informational, but whichever it is, God wants to shine a light on it so that we can walk in life, not toward death. (Hosea 4:6, and Galatians 5:16-17)

Walking in the light requires intentional dependence. Familiarity with God does not replace reliance on God. And when we stop drawing from the light, we default to darkness.(Ephesians 5:8)
