After a week off, the boys are back to wrap up the football season and look ahead to the remainder of hockey season. They chat about the Super Bowl, Ken Dorsey getting OC job, Joe Brady getting QB coach job, Jeff Skinner's year and future as a potential alternate captain, as well as the fan attendance issue that has been going on with the Sabres. Ep. 122 of OBID is your official first episode of the Buffalo Bills off-season. The biggest news of the week that we discuss is Offensive Coordinator Brain Daboll is headed to the NY Giants as their new Head Coach. The boys talk about what this means for the Bills moving forward, who possible replacements are, and how much the team will miss Daboll next year. We also talk Sabres, as 2 of their main prospects Owen Power and Devon Levi are headed to the Olympics to represent Team Canada. On the other hand, the current Sabres roster continues to get injured and can't field a full lineup. The goalie situation stays concerning as the season continues to shape up as a meaningless effort.

And just like that, the Buffalo Bills season has come to an end. What a ride it has been this season with many ups and downs. The boys ultimately fall short in an epic showdown between two heavy weight teams. Wide right, Music City Miracle, and now 13 seconds. An absolutely gut wrenching way to go down. Josh Allen is an absolute monster and we will be back. I know it is not what Bills fans want to hear right now but we will live to fight another day and when 17 is at the helm, anything is possible. Time to talk about the Sabres and look ahead to the off season.

Ladies and gentlemen we have witnessed a murder. The Buffalo Bills officially ended anything that was left of the once might Dynasty as they curb stomped the Patriots 47-17 in the first round of the playoffs. We talk about the unreal atmosphere and experience in Orchard Park, the perfect offense firing on all cylinders, and the unbelievable interception from Micah Hyde. We also talk big picture, what this means for the rivalry going forward, and look ahead to another trip to Kansas City in the Divisional Round.

The Bills have clinched the AFC East for the second year in a row and for the first time on home field since 1995. The guys get right into it this week and talk about the team heading into the playoffs. The trilogy is set as the Bills have drawn the Pats for which will be the two team's third matchup this season. The Sabres only played one game since the last episode but we still breakdown the team as they are currently on a five game skid. Ladies and Gentlemen your 2021 Buffalo Bills have clinched a playoff birth! Locking up their 4th playoff birth in 5 years, the Bills are a game away from beginning their 2022 post-season run. We talk about the 29-15 win over the Atlanta Falcons that launched them into the playoffs, Josh Allen's not so great decision making, Bills run game, the up and down defense, and much more. We look ahead to their final matchup vs the Jets in what will land the Bills the AFC East title if they win, and also what a first round matchup could look like. We then turn our focus over to the ice, as the Sabres were back after a Covid pause. Unfortunately they dropped 3 straight games, but the more intriguing storyline was the debut of Alex Tuch, JJ Peterka, and Peyton Krebs. After weeks of inconsistent football and not playing up to their potential, the Bills pull off their biggest win of the 2021 season beating the New England Patriots in Foxborough 33-21. Josh Allen balls out, Sean McDermott presses all the right buttons on his 4th down decision making, and the Bills have their swagger back moving to 9-6. We talk short term, long-term, grading the defense, players of the game, and staying level headed to finish the year. We look ahead at what's to come and talk a little Week 17 with Atlanta coming to town in a tough let down spot.

The Colts beat the Pats, and the Bills took care of business at home, so that means the AFC East is up for grabs once again in Foxborough next week. The boys bring a couple new segments to the table this week as they recap the Panthers game and look ahead to the Patriots game. Another very close and tough loss for the Bills this past weekend in Tampa. A crazy comeback led by Josh Allen falls short as the Bucs (and the refs) come out on top in OT. The boys talk about this as well as the team overall and what is still in play for the remainder of the season. Somehow, some way, the Buffalo Bills are still in contention of the AFC East with a huge week 15 in the NFL looming. This week the Carolina Panthers come to town in a must win situation for the Bills. Sam and Ethan give their takes on the game and talk about what needs to happen in order to get a win.
