Lesson Summary

In this One Body lesson, we dig into the heart of justification using Ephesians 2:8–10—unpacking key terms like grace, faith, and works. We explore the critical distinction between saving grace (God’s undeserved favor) and sanctifying grace (the Spirit’s work in us)—and how confusing the two can lead to serious theological error.

You’ll also learn why justification is entirely God’s work in Christ—given as a gift, not earned—and how good works flow from that gift rather than contribute to it. Along the way, we examine how different traditions use the same words but mean very different things—and why clarity here protects both the Gospel and your assurance.

This episode helps you speak clearly, think biblically, and rest confidently in the finished work of Christ—while still taking seriously the ongoing life of faith and good works that follow.
