In this week episode the guys reveal a very big announcement. They also discuss “Coming 2 America” the fresh new sequel to 1988’s “Coming to America” which is confusing. The hosts also try out a new format to the episode.

In 2020 everybody was wearing masks, but back in the early 1900’s nobody was wearing a mask, not even the train robbers! Kevin and Dough Take a look back at one of Robert Redford’s most iconic roles on screen in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. With this episode the guys complete there Robert Redford Retrospective.

On episode 73 Kevin and Doug Review their first film released in 2021, “The Little Things.” Dougie subscribed to HBO max in anticipation for releases like this. Kevin would have risked Covid-19 to watch this film because of the admiration for Denzel. This movie was directed by John Lee Hancock who wrote the movie Se7en. This movie is set to be a complete knock out, but did it? Listen and find out.

On a cold winters evening in 2021 Kevin asked Dougie to watch a movie. Kevin thought Dougie might like it. What you are about o hear is the podcast they recorded regarding that film, starring Riz Ahmed and Paul Raci. The movie was “Sound of Metal”

Kevin and Dougie are back in the studio to use their lassos of truth on WW84. In 2017 the female lead “Wonder Woman” broke records and proved that the world was ready for girl super heroes! In 2020 “Wonder Woman 1984” proved that you have to have more than a concept and a successful first film, to make a good movie. Also decent writing is important, and a plot that makes even the tiniest amount of sense, and the bad guy should have some humanity before he turns into the worlds crappiest villain with no motivation, even if humanity is attempted in the last 13 seconds… and well you get the drift. Also dead people should stay dead.

This is the second half of our year end episode. As life got crazy toward the end of the year Kevin and Dougie were busy watching things and NOT recording. So we try to to catch the listeners up with some things to watch and maybe some things we might steer clear of. After a crazy few months Kevin and Doug Finally get a chance to go back into the studio and record a whopping 2 and a half hour episode catching the listeners up on what they have been watching. They record so long the episode became a two part “Smorgasborg “ IN Part 1 they cover Borat 2, My Spy, Hunters, Sneaky Pete, Jingle Jangle, Happiest Season, The Trip to Greece, The Queens Gambit, Hannah and An American Pickle.

February 2020 before the world went insane. Kevin and Dougie sat down fresh from a trip to Sundance and decided to kick off their “Robert Redford Retrospective.” But the producer of this show dropped the ball and decided to put this "supposedly first installment” out now. The good news is, this is wholesome good old fashioned 80’s cheese that the world could use right now, so enjoy.

Election day in the United Sates is November 3rd. If you are listening to this today the day of release and haven’t voted yet… GO VOTE! Kevin and Doug discuss the new political comedy from John Stewart, “Irresistible.” The movies stars Steve Carell and Rose Byrne, co-staring a scene stealing, show stopping performance from Mackenzie Davis and the always reliable and pitch perfect performance from Chris Cooper.

Oh boy, get ready for some rip roaring excitement as Kevin and Dougie discuss the 2020 film “First Cow.” Kevin had seen the trailers and heard the buzz on film twitter about this Kelly Reichardt flick. A few personal friends recommending it was the last thing they needed to put it in the queue. Listen up to see what they thought.
