In this episode, we are joined by Bishop Tracy Smith Malone, the Episcopal leader of the Ohio East Annual Conference. In a message recently to her annual conference earlier this year, Bishop Malone reflected on the theology of unity and our mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. She shared that the Council of Bishops resolved together that the mission of God through Christ Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit is the foundation to this work and guides every part of this process. Our interview with Bishop Malone begins with a question about how she is explaining the one church plan in her area. She reminds us that God sent his son to the world not to point his finger at the world. She has a passionate plea for the One Church Plan describing it as an option that will lead to tremendous growth for the church as well as a powerful evangelical tool.

Our guest in this episode is Bishop Bruce Ough. He has a long history inside the United Methodist Church. He has led the denomination as chair of the Connectional Table from 2012 to 2016 and most immediately as president of the Council of Bishops from 2016 to 2018. He's had a front-row seat to the Commission on a Way Forward that councils support of the One Church Plan and everything that has been happening inside the denomination, as he now serves as immediate past president. He describes what may or may not happen in St. Louis, reminding us of John Wesley's pillars of the faith, personal and social holiness, and his hope that the One Church Plan is a way to affirm that the United Methodist Church is expansive and welcomes all despite our differences.

In this episode we are joined by Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson, the Episcopal leader of the North Georgia Annual Conference. She was elected Bishop by the 2016 Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference of the United Methodist Church. A Florida native, Bishop Sue served on the Florida Conference Delegation to General Conference in 2008, 2012 and 2016. Speaking recently to her annual conference this summer, Bishop Haupert-Johnson said, "We can still choose to stay together and that is how I will lead." She passionately describes her love of mission. "Jesus wants to be with you, and I want to be Him for you," she says and calls on all of us to pass the peace in St. Louis, reminding us that we pass the peace in our churches to represent a harmony that is beyond human comprehension.

In this episode, we are joined by Bishop Robert Schnase the Episcopal leader of the Rio Texas Annual Conference. Elected Bishop in 2004 by the south central jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. Bishop Schnase shares a few things that make the one Church plan different from virtually, every other past proposal that has come before the general conference and shares particular insight into the Commission on a Way Forward.

Bishop Ken Carter of the Florida Annual Conference and President of the Council of Bishops joins us in this episode. He shares his insight into the One Church Plan and shares stories of his work on the Commission on a Way Forward. He reminds us all of our 'why' and reminds us that we are stewards of that why.
