The 1619 Project discusses a very serious topic, but our discussion of this Hulu show doesn't have to be serious at all. Yes, we talk about the parallels between getting the vote during the civil rights movement and keeping the vote in present day, but we also talk about dying our hair, the value of 1 or 2 middle names, whether or not we stand for the flag, pick-up basketball, and Jobina's love affair with the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther "the" King Junior.
If you enjoy the show, don't tell a soul. Keep it to yourself. You have my permission to be completely selfish. Just this episode, though. Next time, I'll encourage you to tell your friends and subscribe to the podcast.
