One Faith: An Appeal for Unity

  • Ephesians 4:1-6 – There is one faith.
    • Let’s content ourselves with what the New Testament reveals about the church.
    • Ephesians 5:22-30 – Jesus is the savior of the church (body). Notice that the church does not save – the church is the saved.
    • Hebrews 12:23
    • Philippians 4:15; 1:1
    • Let’s just do what the New Testament says the church should do and leave it at that!
      • Let’s not content ourselves with doctrinal divisions.
      • Matthew 7:21
      • John 17:17-23
      • Ephesians 4:5
      • Jude 1:3
      • Ephesians 4:11
      • Acts 18:5-11
      • This is Jesus’ church – He gets to make the rules!
        • Let’s just be Christians, not types of Christians.
        • Acts 11:19-26 – They were brought “to the Lord.”
        • You can’t read in the Bible about a Baptist Christian or a Lutheran Christian. You only read about Christians.
