Robin C J Smyth A.K.A – Tekseven – is an electronic music producer living in Belfast Northern Ireland.

Robin has been making electronic music since the early nineties. His first success as a producer came on a compilation CD called the sound of the Irish underground He also made an E.P which was picked up by Sony Records at this time. He played live and ran a club called Lemon in the center of Belfast. This club featured lots of local electronic music talent and was well received. Robin learned how to make music at his friends studio called JA. He assisted engineering many bands there and used an old emu sampler to make his music. Although he had limited success his interest in music never subsided.

At the end of the Nineties Robin Decided it was time to travel the world... so he did just that. He took his knowledge of the studio and used it to get work while he traveled. He worked as far away as San Francisco and Thailand engineering Bands and Creating Ideas for his music. It was During this time that Robin learned how to play. He says that at time all he had was an acoustic guitar so he decided to learn how to play it properly. This musical knowledge has been very useful in recent times as Tekseven's production have been cutting it.

About two years ago Robin Created Tekseven and began his online profile. Sending out tracks to small indie electronic music labels. His music has been well received and was immediately inundated with request for releases. After much deliberation Robin decided on a small labels to release material. His first digital release was an E.P on Teleport Records called LA Dream. He also had a 12 inch out under Tekseven by a Finish Label called Black Economy. The record was well received getting some good reviews by Juno records and Phonica.

Robin's Artistic career has lead him into other territories mostly in the visual arts. He studied fine art at Belfast Art college and made lots of Abstract paintings. He made a foray into the world of film making with some success. He made three short films which have been shown all over the world. Most notably winning a place at the San Francisco Horror Film Festival and the Belfast film festival showing his picture Hold Your Breath starring two locally acclaimed actors Michael Lieberman and Cathy Kiera Clarke. Robin first love however will always be his music production.

His main influences are from the Detroit techno scene. Underground Resistance, Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson was his first love of techno music. Recently tekseven has taken influence from Labels such as CLR, Drumcode, 50weapons, and Sandwell District. Robin – Tekseven has a pending release of an electronica music album he has recently finished coming out of Italy. More news of this will be included in a future update of his Bio...

This week we present an all-new live PA from Chicago's Komprezzor!

Komprezzor is not simply another gimmick or project trying to reach for the sky,fame or mainstream, in the contrary he prefers to stay hidden in the darkestcorner of that old abandoned factory were you once wondered if you even had the guts to step in. The sounds and elements of his live sets are dark and dirty as if they had been extracted from a piece of literature by Edgar Alan Poe. Full of white noises and atmospheric riffs the percussive elements are extracted from classic drum machines; such the legendary 808, 909, and 303 that slowly morph in to a hypnotic rhythm. Along with his live sets the Dj sets are also full of some of the dirtiest and darkest heart pounding T echno, no t op 40 will ever make an appearance on his track list , interacting with up to 4 decks running at the same time and one machine it will make you wonder if a third arm was present at the time of total dance floor destruction...Currently spending and immense amount of time in the studio creating sounds and sequences he is gearing up fort he launch of his own imprint calledsecreTechno that will have collaboration of some of the most respected Techno artist in the world and perhaps the universe.Komprezzor is an experience not an act you must be present to feel the basshitting your face and kick ruining your inner equilibrium rather is a DJ set or aLive Pa one thing is for sure last night will be a blur.

This week we present Parson from Valencia, Spain. He bought his first turntables in 1999 at the age of fifteen and by 2005 he was already well-known in the region and sharing the booth alongside well-known artists. With residencies in several clubs over the years and playing local festivals, his rhythms are both elegant and forceful and with refined technique as a performer.

Milkplant is Justin Pennell, He is the From 0-1 label founder and co-owner with longtime friend, Sone. Originally from the city of Milwaukee in the Midwest, he moved to Seattle in 2004 and in 2010 relocated to Oakland, California where he currently resides. Plus twenty years of combined DJ and production experience has allowed him to witnessed many trends in electronic music come and go, but Techno has always been his #1.

Starting as a DJ at the age of 19 in 2000, he discovered Heiko Laux, Stewart Walker, Plastikman, Ben Sims, Speedy J, Fuse, and Theorem from records obtained from Nick Nice’s ‘Nice Music’ in Madison, Wisconsin at the peak of the Midwest rave scene. From then on he forged a path that led to production by 2004, and record label establishment in 2008. Beyond the usual, he draws influence from Industrial, Experimental, and Punk Rock; the likes of Nitzer Ebb, Skinny Puppy, Front 242, Coil, Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV, Tangerine Dream, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Death in June, Clock DVA, and much more.
