He is a big, balanced and hard working product out of Nebraska, that could find himself on the depth chart come September. Andy notes that current veteran TE Akins holds a mere $50k guaranteed on his contract, meaning training camp can be an open competition where Andy sees Allen potentially ahead of Bellinger. Adam then turns his attention to 5th round selection Micah McFadden. Adam sees all the makings of a starting ILB for Blue Blue in the mold of Blake Martinez, with a bit more athleticism to stay on the field in coverage vs TE. With the news breaking that long time disaster and head of college scouting Chris Petit was fired, the new direction of the New York Giants looks ever-brighter. Depth and practice squad talent is on display, but the guys see running back Jashuan Corbin as a steal - and rotational roster piece this season. They also talk how much turnover this team will see, and if James Bradberry can remain a Giant, while still creating cap space.

BIG BLUE takes big draft haul! Adam Armbrecht and Andy Mackiewicz are breaking down the Giants 2022 NFL draft from pick 5 to pick 182.  Joe Schoen showed patience and poise at the top, allowing the board to bring an elite Edge rusher in Kayvon Thibodeaux and offensive line stud Evan Neal. The guys discuss what it means on each side of the ball and why Giants fans should be excited for the PR powerhouse that is Kayvon.  Joe Schoen also traded back to pick up two extra draft picks. While Andy debates if Wan'Dale Robinson was "worth" the 43 pick, Adam believes Big Blue has a star in the making. With multiple lineman, linebackers and secondary players brought in, the overall theme for OGP is turnover the roster and resetting the franchise. Adam also takes a sweet little victory lap on his draft steal Darrian Beavers, ILB out of Cincinnati destined for a starting slot!

With Travon Walker on the rise the available Edge, Cornerback and Offensive Line talent could but New York in a prime position to land key needs. Adam still sees the board relatively unchanged when it comes to talent, while Andy highlights secondary prospect Stingley Jr as a high level "consolation prize should Cincinnati's Gardner go early.
