Having fun was forbidden in Saudi Arabia and most Islamic societies. Music is a criminal offence in Islam, love is forbidden outside of marriage, dating a boy can get you and the boy killed. Mixed partying (women & men together) is banned while religious police constantly crash weddings. However, there is a sacred & protected area in Riyadh known as 'The Diplomatic Quarter'. The religious police could not enter the (D.Q) because it was where all the foreign embassies and their personnel where located & housed. This is where the only the luckiest of young women have a taste of freedom.
