- a special tribute to my lost son, Justin Lake McLellan, who would have been 45 on October 6th, 2022. Postscript It's Sunday, September 18th, 2022, and I have some good news. I have been a lifelong musician and songwriter since I was five. My first gig was at 14, playing banjo with a bluegrass band. But, the music died ten years ago, in 2012, when Justin left us. Honestly, I thought I would never perform in public again. Ten years have passed now. Last week, I experienced intense emotional and psychic healing. While listening to James Taylor's music for the first time in a decade, I felt my eyes moisten with the joy found in such heartfelt music. Then, one of JT's new songs, Carry Me on My Way, came on. This song led to a flood of Niagara falls, Joy-filled tears. At that moment, I realized I was ready to return to public performance with an extraordinary zeal for music returning as my heart burst wide open. Another Gift of a broken heart. Thank you, James! And Thank you, Justin Lake! Yesterday and Soft Piano in C maj by John Hobart - Music Design by Jason Inc.; “Carry Me on My Way” James Taylor.
