One Less Die

Following the 1920s campaign, in 2014 we decided to start a shorter one in the 1940s. I had been inspired by the narrative of Slenderman ARG vlogs like DarkHarvest00 and Tribetwelve, but wanted to expand the Mythos of the Deep Mosm and their own alien mythology. These games deals a lot with an inscrutable alien demon, a deranged human cult that worships it and secretive crocodile-folk. The Players are the unfortunate souls tossed into the mess.

Outer Gods, Inner Demons

1945: the closing end of the second World War, while hell begins it’s cool down across the sea, something unseen to the public eye is boiling up from darker places. Only a few are aware of it’s presence and the danger it holds, even fewer are pulled into action away from their own inner demons to deal with the machinations of outer gods.

So… Season 2 of Grumblehammer 1920s never happened. Instead the greater Grumblehammer universe and mythos did. In the years following the Grumblehammer 1920s finale, we began running campaigns in different places and times, largely all fitting into our setting. However, over the years we’ve had ideas for “one-shots” set in the 20s or were involving Dimitri and Jerico. They don’t really have a connective tissue outside of being Grumblehammer 1920s expanded content. At least 1 is already recorded, and we do want to run the others as they fill in little niches of events that we mention or have discussed in the history of the world. These will likely be posted as they are recorded. Please enjoy a One-Shot in Grumblehammer 1920s!

The Corbyville Case

(September 15th, 1924) “Hook Head, Hook on his Head, now you are dead. Corbyville is a small town just north of Belleville, Ontario. Quiet and serene as it sits by the river. That calm is broken however with the realization that someone, or something, is hunting it’s residents. It killing whole families, seemingly impaling them in the head and leaving the men heartless. A darkness has it hooks imbedded in this little river town.”
