We speak with Laurier Brantford English instructor Souvankham Thammavongsa about winning the 2020 Scotiabank Giller Prize for her collection of short stories, How to Pronounce Knife, and what it's been like to teach creative writing remotely.
Then, we check in with research facilitator Matthew Wyman-McCarthy for an update on how faculty have faced the challenges presented by the pandemic.
And finally, we speak with alumni Paige Grant and Azka Choudary, who were part of the student research team that, in 2018, published the Being Raced report about racism on campus, which was a foundational part of the work people are doing to make our campus a more diverse, equitable and inclusive place today.
