Most of us can overcome any adversity if we can be assured of three things. First, we must know that God cares. Then, we must be convinced that He won’t forsake us. Finally, we have to know that God will redeem our situation. As rational creatures, the thought that a tragic life-altering event might be pointless is simply unbearable. But if we know that God will ultimately bring good out of what looks like a senseless tragedy, we can somehow bear it.
“But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God…On him we have set our hope.”
Lord Jesus, no matter what life throws at us, You are our hope and our deliverer. Teach us to trust You more. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
