One minute

Listen Later

One minute

One minute I’m happy, the next I want to die

I’m nothing but confused, drop my head and cry

So are we climbing a mountain, wishing, throwing coins in a fountain ?

They were all I had left, see I ain’t very good at accounting

Money drops by sometime, but it’s gone before the bells

chime

In and out and I can barely make ends meet it’s such a crime

But it doesn’t do the trick for me, the things I want most

are free

And every time I get closer to my dreams they takeoff where I can’t see

Hear tell they intended to be here this day, but ran into

difficulties along the way

Wish I knew why every time they get near they just never

seem to want to stay

One minute I’m happy, the next I want to die

I’m just not too enthused, really don’t want to try

The finish line is not really where I’m heading, I think I know the way, but I keep on forgetting

Dreams get me twisted, maybe things I should’ve resisted

wake up alone sweating in my bedding

One minute I’m happy the next I want to die,

Feeling lost but still there’s a twinkle in my eye

Not a tear of pain, but a memory of the thing, takes me from the depths of hell and makes me want to sing

The dream of tomorrows not wasted, loving desires meant to be tasted, wrapped in a golden ring

One minute I’m happy, and even though I might want to die

I’m too head over heels crazy for the dream and I got to try

Yeah I’m too crazy for that dream and I gotta try
