SAM Bakhtiar interviews Mikey Taylor, professional skateboarder, entrepreneur and real estate investor. Mikey grew up firmly in the middle class in Thousand Oaks, California. He never really thought or worried about money or issues while he was growing up. He picked up a skateboard when he was 14, was consumed by it and never stopped. He finally had a wake-up moment and acknowledged he hated living his life like that. He started working on the person he wanted to be. He started meditating, setting goals, seeking guidance, working on his reactions and responses to his life. Now he is very active with family, business, planning and managing the life he wants to live.

Christian like myself migrated to the U.S when he was just a young boy,

Born and raised in Mexico City, he and his family came to the States when he was 12 years old and didn't speak a word of English!

Every immigrant knows... it's never easy transitioning when you get here.

Unfortunately like many others, Christian faced a lot of discrimination from the kids around him.

It was hard enough having a thick accent trying to learn the language, but throwing in the teasing and mockery, Christian eventually developed a fear of speaking.

He didn't want to feel like an outcast, none of us ever do...

That fear followed him throughout his life until the day he realized something very important.

If he wanted to be successful in life, he couldn't let his fears hold him back.

If there is one thing that always stifles our goals and aspirations, it's fear.

But the thing about fear is that it's all in your head.

All of your worries are simply you psyching yourself out on reasons why you can't achieve it.

But when it comes to goals, you will always reach them as long as you never stop trying.

It's literally inevitable.

Go after your dreams, never give up on them and you'll eventually reach them!

Life is wild and opportunities will present themselves to you left and right.

It's up to you to face them head on!!

You have to ignore self doubt, the killer of hopes and dreams

The best way to become successful? Hang out with other successful people!

It's all about proximity and who you surround yourself with

Ed is a fresh young man who is killing the real estate game because he's different.

Realty never seems to be anyone's first thought when it comes to entrepreneurship, but people quickly come around when they learn just how much opportunity there is in the field!

Ed tells us how he thinks entrepreneurship was passed into his genes by his mother and father.

Coming from Slovakia and not knowing any English, his mother went door to door looking for work to eventually having a cleaning business and his father a carpenter business.

Ed was no stranger to the Hustle.

He dabbled in so many things before coming to real estate...

Hockey enthusiast (until a shoulder injury), a D.J and eventually he went deep into marketing platforms and was really good at it until he decided he no longer wanted to keep growing other people's business, he wanted to create and scale his own.

That's when he got into real estate 3 years ago!

Ed keeps it real, R.E isn't his passion, but the money is GOOD.

..when you do it right..

The game was crowded with older realtors who did't know how to truly market themselves.

That's where Ed stands out, he applies what he calls "Millennial Realty"

He applies marketing skills and his understanding of the importance of building a brand name the way a Millennial would. Social Media

You can't blend into the crowd and expect to be noticed.
