As a child, Fauzia suffered from chronic digestive upset, which later turned into hormonal imbalance, an array of food sensitivities, and terrible acne in her teens and early twenties. She took many rounds of antibiotics to get rid of her acne, which just aggravated her gut and made all of her symptoms worse. She was chronically constipated and suffered from both anxiety and depression from a young age. She began exploring alternative methods of healing her body. She also began paying attention to the little voice in her head that told her that soy, gluten, and dairy were part of the problem.
