As the saying goes, only 2 things in life are certain: death and taxes. We will all face God at the end of our lives, and when we go before him, we hope that we've lived a saintly life so that he takes us straight to Heaven. However, even the smallest imperfection cannot enter Heaven - so we may need to spend some time in purgatory first. Just as we would want, let's pray for those there who long to see God and who rely on our prayers to get there. 

Society tries to teach that joy and happiness can be found in ways that take us far away from God who is the ultimate source of joy. We need to be a reflection of the real joy that can only be experienced by living a life of faith and always be able to model and teach it through positivity and cheerfulness.

Our spiritual life has ups and downs and sometimes it seems that we lose the direction in which we are meant to go. This can become an issue if we neglect ourselves and our souls by not correcting our actions toward God. Consequently, we should evaluate our day daily, make some amendments, and continue to grow spiritually.

Since we fell with original sin through our first parents, we struggle with our weaknesses, and we tend to fail our Lord over and over. However, his unconditional love has no limits, and his mercy has no end, to the point that he craves that we get back up and reconcile with him. No matter how many times we fall, He wants to wash away our sins so we can be in communion with Him.

We live in a constant battle between good and evil. The enemy does not rest, and in order to hold our place on God's grounds, we must be aware of their power and influence, and how they work to make us fall.

Another wonderful gift we have been given, but which we often forget, is our very own guardian angel. From the moment we begin to exist, they are by our side to advise, accompany and cooperate with us so that we can accomplish our mission: to reach heaven. 

God teaches us from the very beginning of the bible to the end that, in the Eucharist, the bread and wine truly become the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ. And as he said, "Unless you eat the Flesh of the Son of Man and drink his Blood, you do not have life within you."

We are loved in a way that is beyond our capacity to ever comprehend. We were literally loved into existence. Our God has given us his heart and it's up to us to correspond to that gift and to share it with those around us. 

Our one goal in life is to get to Heaven. The surest path there is by embracing the difficulties, small and big, of every day, and turning them into an encounter with Christ at his Passion.
