This episode looks at Proverbs 11:30, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and whoever captures souls is wise.” Jesus Christ, the righteous one, has purchased access for us to the tree of life by his blood. Now, we imitate him in our teaching and life, so that others who come to us may also find life as we capture their souls for Christ’s glory.

This episode looks at Proverbs 11:29, “Whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.” The foolish son ends up with nothing as an inheritance. But the grace of God is seen in how when the foolish son repents, he shows grace and restores him to a place of honor. May we imitate our Father when we encounter similar situations.

This episode looks at Proverbs 11:28, “Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf.” We should trust in God and God alone. When we do, we will stand through all the storms of life.

This episode looks at Proverbs 11:27, “Whoever diligently seeks good seeks favor, but evil comes to him who searches for it.” When we seek the good of others, we find favor from them and from God. May God give us eyes for that blessed hope.

This episode looks at Proverbs 11:26, “The people curse him who holds back grain, but a blessing is on the head of him who sells it.” We do not want to receive curses from others because we are stingy with our blessing. We also want to work hard to create opportunity for others to fairly purchase what they need, and we want to praise the people we know who take such action.

This episode looks at Proverbs 11:25, “Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” When we saturate others with blessing, we will find ourselves under the hose of God’s blessings. May it be so.

This episode looks at Proverbs 11:24, “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.” May God give us generous hearts, and when we act generously, may we find true riches.

This episode looks at Proverbs 11:23, “The desire of the righteous ends only in good; the expectation of the wicked in wrath.” Righteous desires lead to the good of ourselves and others. Wicked hopes result in the fury of others and of God. May God cleanse our hearts so that we walk in holy desires.

This episode looks at Proverbs 11:22, “Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman who lacks discretion.” Outward beauty becomes ugly if it does not match what is inside. May our inward selves be an accurate basis for our outward expressions, and may these both reflect the goodness of God.

This episode looks at Proverbs 11:21, “Be assured, an evil person will not go unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered.” God is just, and he will eventually judge wrongdoers. May we take joy in this truth, and may we hope for and work toward generations to come believing in this just, gracious God.
