One Verse Devotional

When the storm come and life is a wilderness, we can trust in the Lord. God is our refuge and safety.

Today's One Verse gives us some simple, yet critical wisdom when it comes to tempation in our lives.

God has invited you to "participate in the divine nature." He has given you a purpose to live and a role to play in His ultimate story. 2 Peter 1:3 told us that we have everything we need, our gifts, talents, skills, and personality. Peter then let's us in on the secret: God is asking you to join Him on His mission of redemption.

You have already been given the gifts, skills, personality, and passion to live out God's purpose for your life.

Our limited problems are no match for God's unlimited power!

Prayer is powerful. It is how we communicate with God. Let's take time to pray today-- For friends, for family, for our leaders, and for the troubles and injustices in our world. But don't stop there. Let's also give thanks to God for all that He is doing and will do in our lives!
