One Voice Makes A Difference with Janet Swanson

Pastor Paula tells when her husband, the pastor had pain in his arm and thought he had a pulled muscle that led to his death.

Isaiah 43:1-2

1 But now, this is what the Lord says, He who is your Creator, Jacob, And He who formed you, Israel: "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!

2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.

The day of this recording is Rosh Hashannah. The new year for the Hebrew calendar. It is no accident that Pastor Paula Johns spoke at our church today then interviewed with me later on this day. Today is an appointed day by God and I believe this Rhema Word is for you. Paula says that God is not finished with you. No matter how old you are, if you are still breathing, Jesus still has a purpose for your life. He is the Lord your creator, He has redeemed you and He will carry you all the days of your life.

Here is what the Lord says:

Isaiah 46:3-4

"Listen to Me, house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel, You who have been carried by Me from birth And have been carried from the womb;

Even to your old age I will be the same, And even to your graying years I will carry you! I have done it, and I will bear you; And I will carry you and I will save you.

In this podcast you are going to feel the presence of God. Paula talks about how her husband fell dead at her feet and how God kept her in a bubble and carried her through the grief process. Not only is He carrying her now, He has made a vow to her to never leave her and to always carry her even to her old age. The Lord wants someone to know this. Today's podcast was different from any other podcast I have done. I found my self wanting to cry so many times. I could just feel the presence of the Lord. She talked about what a Whale sounds like that has been beached. It is heart wrenching! The sound of a whale that has been washed ashore, and out of his habitation is unbelievable. I believe the wave of the Holy Spirit is going to crash over you and all of you that feel like you've been washed ashore, pretty soon that wave is going to overwhelm your moan and bring you back into safe waters!

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

What does it even mean to "submit" to God? Have you really ever thought about it? "How did I get here? I am here by choices I've made my whole life". You will hear the powerful story of how Debra found HOPE in the middle of darkness even when her darkness was created by her own choices in life.

Married several times... and boy could she pick em!!! Drug dealers, womanizers, lazy, abusers, and drunkards. 3 children and each one have a different father, one she is not sure who the father is. She lived with more men than she married and at one point in her life she was an escort and made more money than any job she ever had. But she was tormented mentally because she knew how she earned that money. Debra said, "There is more integrity in earning $2.00 an hour when you earn it without sin".

You all are going to be so inspired by hearing what Jesus did for this lady and how he saved, delivered and healed her from all her troubles!

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

Maybe you've been asking yourself, "How did I get here?" The answer is clear……it's by the choices you have made!

Choices made by me, were not always calculated to the end.

I always had control over HOW I would react to life, but many times I didn't make the best decisions.

Why I chose the road most traveled I credit to my selfish desires, for no one is blamed for what I chose to do.

Sin will take your further than you want to go and make you stay longer than you had ever planned.

Everyone has a destiny, a dream, a talent, a test, a journey, a calling, obstacles, haters, failures, and everyone has a choice!

11 For I know the thoughts (plans, designs, intentions) that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

The first point I want to make is:

I. God Still Uses Dysfunctional People!

The second point I want to make is:

II. In the midst of dysfunction….God still has a plan

Since God has already written His thoughts down for you, he already sees the end of your life. He knows how this story ends and guess what? It has a good ending!

The third point I want to make is:

III. In the middle of dysfunction God will REVEAL his plan

God revealed to Joseph HIS PLAN, and Joseph's dream was offensive to his family! Watch this!

The fourth point I want to make is:

IV. God will use dysfunction, the haters, and jealousy to catapult the first chapter of your dream

Sometimes the LAUNCH of your dream will actually look like a SETBACK!

Joseph was headed in the right direction , but it was soon going to start a very painful season in his life! Pain will push you to purpose, if you let it! And there will be times that The Lord will allow the enemy to:

• Test you
• To threaten you
• To attack your dreams and hopes
• To attack what is closest to your heart
• To attack the promise God has given you
• To take you to the lowest place of your life

Because God knows if you can still trust HIM in the LOW places, HE CAN TRUST YOU IN THE HIGH PLACES!

• According to how low you will go , will determine the heights you will reach.
• The Kingdom is an upside-down kingdom, to go high, you must first go low!

V. Last point I want to make is:

God will heal the dysfunction in your family when YOU walk out (surrender) your dreams!

• Joseph became the man he was by the trials he went through.
• He used his gift to bless and not curse.
• He did not despise his past but he accepted it
• Joseph embraced every detour along the way.
• Joseph chose to forgive and bless those who hurt him, betrayed him, abandoned him.
• Joseph knew that without the haters, he could not have arrived to pharaohs house! He recognized that GOD was with him all the time!

Janet gives a word of encourage to all those who are in ministry. She saw prophetic Vision in prayer of what is happening to the body of Christ under varies trials.

The other day while I was in prayer, I saw a vision. I saw ministers, pastors, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, teachers and all those who have the testimony of Jesus. I saw them standing in the middle of a river surrounded by Alligators. There was no escape. There was a circular current that was swirling around them. Some were standing against the current and there were others who were fighting the current and fell underneath the swoop.

I was there among them. I was standing, but barely. I had no ability to help anyone. It was awful to see and to watch as the Alligators surrounded us all. I felt helpless and prayed for mercy. I cried out for MERCY. It was mercy that kept us all on our feet for the current had the ability to take us under.

Then I looked behind me as I knew God would not leave us to be devoured by the Alligators. I saw an army of angels with weapons of mercy making their way to fight for us. The shout from the army was to STAND UP! STAND!!!! Watch the Lord fight and His angel armies would defeat the Alligators.
