John 17-21-23--21- That they all may be one- as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us- that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.--22- And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them- that they may be one, even as we are one---23- I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one- and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.--Christ in his intercessory prayer in this chapter and also in chapter 15 in the parable of the vine, shows how vital the union between him and his people is.--1- -v21- A prayer for a union that will be a witness to those that shall believe in the world.-2- -v22- The grace given to make that union.-3- -v23- The union that ensures the number of God's people will be perfect. -complete- - A witness to a lost world.
