Athandiwe tells us about the documentary she produced for the 10-year anniversary of the Marikana massacre of 2012. Nokuthula talks about the investigative podcast she produced, Exodus: Uncovering a cult in KwaZulu-Natal, which won the One World Media Podcast & Radio Award in 2021.

On this episode, hear from Annie Slemrod, Middle East Editor at The New Humanitarian and journalist, Mai Noman. Annie speaks about her story, How coronavirus hit Aden: A Yemeni doctor’s diary, which won the One World Media Coronavirus Reporting Award in 2020. The story is 32-year-old Dr Ammar Derwish's account of how COVID-19 is tearing through Yemen, claiming victims in a country already affected by war. Mai talks about her BBC audio story, Death Will Come Tomorrow, that looks at why Yemen can’t cope with another health crisis and how the country responded to Covid-19.
